Chapter 3: Prisoners of the Sky

While Clay was in the river, Sunny and Starflight tried freeing Tsunami from her chains. But those attempts failed. So Darksea suggested trying to use both of their fire at one spot to see if that'll work instead.

They agreed and tried it, much to their surprise it works and Tsunami was free.  She thanked them real quick before diving into the river to catch up with Clay. After that the three of them rushed to the study cave and waited until it's dawn.

While waiting they began to pile up scrolls, even Starflight joined them but not without a sad look about burning these scrolls.
When they finished they heard claws stomping against the stone floor. 'Looks like it's Kestrel, probably going to look for Clay, Tsunami, and Glory' Darksea heard Sunny thinking.

He looks up to see that the night is starting to leave the sky and welcoming to morning sun. Darksea was about to tell the other two to start the fire when he felt his throat getting hot.

He opened his mouth to try cool it and when he exhaled blue flames left his mouth and onto the pile of scrolls. Soon after the pile started to emit gray smoke and it started to rise through the hole in the ceiling. The two looked at Darksea with a look mixed of surprised and shock, while Darksea entered a coughing fit.

"Darksea what was that!?" Starflight asked him with a shocked tone of voice, "I don't know! I was about to tell you two to start the fire when I felt my throat getting hot, so I opened my mouth to cool it! Then all of a sudden blue flames left my mouth" he explained to Starflight.

"B-but that not even scientifically possible! How can you do that if you're a Seawing? That is unless if you're a hybrid of another tribe that can breathe fire..." Starflight mutters to himself but Darksea heard faint familiar talking coming past the entrance boulder. "They're here guys! Let's go to the entrance!" Darksea said happily before running out of the study cave.

Once he reached the entrance boulder he saw it moving and revealed Clay abs Tsunami on the other side.
"You did it guys!" Sunny said next to Darksea.

He yelped since he didn't hear Sunny coming up next to him. "Oh sorry Darksea didn't mean to scare you, hehehe" she said and she chuckles nervously. Soon after that Darksea looked over his shoulder to see Starflight dragging a bag full of scroll with his mouth.

"Uh, are those scrolls? Starflight, three moons no!" Tsunami said to him, "But we might need them later on!" he complains. "Hey guys where's Glory?" Clay asked to the others.

"We don't know Clay" Darksea answers him. Then ask if a sudden Glory reappears next to Clay, "I'm here and ok Clay" she says. "Thank the moons!" Clay said happily as he twines his tail with her's. "Oh guys! You won't belive what Darksea did! He-" Starflight talked but stopped when all of the turned their heads towards the entrance once they heard wings flapping.

There stood a group of amored Skywings with one of them, who had dark orange scales and yellow eyes and covered in embedded gems like in that image Darksea had yesterday. "Hello again" the one wearing jewels said, "Who are you?"

Darksea said to her with a defensive tone.

"Really now? This is getting insulting for me. You're in my territory, so how dare you not know who I am?" she said to them with a talon on her chest.

Next to Darksea Starflight bowed to the Skywing and said to the other's that Skywing is Queen Scarlet, who noticed him, "My my! You're a Nightwing, how thrilling! I never had a Nightwing in my arena before!" she said with a odd excitement in her voice.

"Tell me Nightwing, what am I thinking about? Is it too hard? Here I'll give you a hint. Why would a Nightwing, a Seawing, a Mudwing, and whatever those other two are hiding under my mountain? Hmm? This wouldn't have anything to do with a certain prophecy does it?" Scarlet questions them.

"Of so then why would there be other Seawing here when there'sonly suppose to be one?" she said in an eerie tone. Soon Dune walked over to see what the commotion is about. "Scarlet!? WEBS, KESTREL GET OVER HERE!" Dune shouted.

He then started to walk up to Scarlet ready to attack her, but she grabbed his throat, "Oh Kestrel's here too? What a fun reunion this is gonna be." Scarlet spoke making her grip more tighter around Dune's throat.

"Glory! Go hide!" Clay told her but she shook her head, "Hide while you try to die for all of us again? No way!" Glory said to him.

"They're....the dragonets of....destiny! You have....to leave.... them....alone!" Dune said while gasping for air in Scarlet's grasp, "Oh well what if it's my destiny to play with them?" she said and snapped Dune's neck, the loud cracking sound was haunting to the dragonets.

Scarlet drops his lifeless corpse onto the ground, Darksea had a shocked face as he recalled the image he saw yesterday, that image was a vision of the future. But he was snapped out of his thoughts when Sunny shouted Dune's name and ran up to his body.

"Funny how I always fine those who betray me in the end. Isn't that right Kestrel?" she ask as Kestrel and Webs walk put of a corridor. "You got me now let these useless dragonets go Scarlet" Kestrel said with an angered tone.

Scarlet walks up to her asking if she switched from disobeying orders to giving them, "Leave them alone, I'll come with you" Kestrel told her.

"Oh of course you'll come with me, we have a thrilling trial planned and followed by an even more thrilling execution for you. And these dragonets will be perfect for my arena!" Scarlet said to Kestrel with a creepy chuckle as her guards lined up behind her.

"Take them!" she orders the guards. The guards then proceed to take them, as they were Darksea and Tsunami tried fighting back the guards but lost. The other guards continue to capture the other dragonets.

"Webs! Go tell the Talons!" Kestrel shouts to him, who in return dove into the river. "Should we go after him, Your Majesty?" One of the guards ask, "No a Seawing in a river is long gone, time to fly" Scarlet tells the guards and flew off into the sky to the Sky Palace.
