Chapter 5: Inside the Arena

Darksea was then taken to the arena as a Sandwing started to be placed down by the guards on the other end of the arena. The Sandwing had pale gold color with flakes of white gold across his scales. And his sail was a light sandy color. He was also covered in scars across his body with a long one going from the left corner of his neck to his right shoulder. He was also a bit larger compared to Darksea.

"After three victories Viper the Sandwing, formerly a soldier of Blaze's army has been challenged by a member of the Dragonets of Destiny. In the other corner meet Darksea of the Seawings! Surely this wouldn't be a problem for him now is it?" Scarlet announced both the contenders as another Skywing started to count down for the fight to begin.

Darksea took a fighting stance as the Skywing yelled for the fight to begin. 'I need to do my best to avoid his barbed tail' he thought as Viper charged towards him. Darksea jumped out of the way as he try to claw Darksea.

Darksea quickly turned around and jump onto Viper the best he could. He dug his claws into Viper's back as the other roared in pain. Darksea then bit the hardest he could on Viper's right wing. Viper got his tail barb ready and started to strike it towards his opponent.

Darksea let go of the wing and got off Viper just as the tail barb hit Viper's back almost grazing his tail. 'That was a close call, it almost hit me' he thought to himself. Viper turned towards Darksea as the blood from the bite mark on his wing bled on his scales and the ground.

Viper rush at Darksea as the other barley moved away as Viper slasked at his tail with a claw. Darksea winced in pain as he looked back at Viper. He had enough of this and took a quick turn and snapped his jaws shut on the Sandwing's tail, close to the barb.

Darksea started to yank at the tail while Viper roared in pain and trying to get Darksea off of him. During that Darksea was covered in claw marks but still held a firm grip on the tail, till he yank it hard enough that the tail got ripped off with a sickening snapping sound.

The audience cheered at that as Darksea threw the severed tail away as blood around his mouth started to drip onto the ground. He lunges at the Sandwing with a hissing sound coming from his throat.

He managed to pin Viper to the ground and clamped his jaws around his throat and yanked a large chunk of flesh. The Sandwing started to gasp and flail till his body stopped as he took his last breath.

The audience cheered while Scarlet smirked at Darksea. "What an exciting fight! The winner is Darksea the Seawing!" Scarlet yelled and guards flew over to him to bring him back to his pillar.

Once he was on his pillar Darksea did the best he could while being chained up to clean up the blood on his mouth. After the he saw Clay being placed into the arena after the guards cleaned up the dead Sandwing body.

On one corner was an Icewing with glacier blue scales that looked like sunlight coming off of snow. He also had a darker blue eyes along with silvery white wings.

The Icewing also had a long claw scratch down his neck with some dried blue blood coating the surrounding scales. "Now after last month's battle with Blaze's army, my dungeons were stuffed with Icewing prisoners of war. With only five surviving. And after two wins, here's Fjord the Icewing!"

Scarlet announced, "And in the other corner is another member of the Dragonets of Destiny, and I'm sure this also wouldn't be a problem for him to survive in my arena. Isn't the right, Clay of the Mubwings?" she continued.

The crowd started to cheer and yelling as Darksea hear Clay saying he didn't think this through. After that the fight began, "So uh hello Fjord, right? I've never met an Icewing before, and I've never met much of anyone really. I didn't realize ice would look so, uh blue! Its very surprising really" Clay started to talk as the two circled each other.

"Boo! Somebody bite somebody already!" someone from the crowd shouted. "It's cool though, haha no pun intended" Clay said.

"Are you trying to kill us both? Shut up and let me kill you!" Fjord told him. "Do we have to fight? I'd rather not" Clay said to the Icewing.

Clay looked up at the pillars to see Starflight opening his mouth and pointing to it. Darksea watched as Fjord fired a freezing breathe at Clay but it only hit his wing as he dodged it. 'Ooowwwww! I forgot Icewings have freezing death breath, thanks for the reminder Starflight!' Darksea heard Clay saying to himself.

Clay saw Fjord doing his frozen breath again and shot fire at his mouth to prevent that. He then charge towards Fjord and pinned him to the ground. 'Boooo! A sheep could have won by now! Bite his snout off! Less talking, more killing! Claw him! Claw him!' The audience shouted at the fight.

"What is wrong with you!? This isn't even how Mudwings fight! I was trained in Mudwing techniques!" Fjord protested, "Well I wasn't" Clay told him started to choke Fjord.

'Now! Kill him now! Here's where that monster inside saves the day! But I don't want to kill him. I don't even want to kill anyone! He's much as much of a prisoner as me....' Darksea heard Clay think to himself.

After that Fjord got out of the pin and knocked Clay down, "Time to die Mudwing!" he said.

"NO! AAAARGH! UGH! AARGH! DON'T....HURT.....CLAY!" Darksea looked a head of him to see Tsunami struggling in the bindings shouting. And after that black dots hit Fjord on several places.

After that Fjord started to howl in pain, "EEEYYYAAAAAHHHH! HELP ME! MAKE IT STOOOOPPPP!" soon he collapsed on the ground with a hissing sound coming from him. There were multiple holes on his corpse one where his eyes was, on his neck where his scar was at, and on his left wing and shoulder.

The audience cheered as Darksea saw Scarlet smirking. Later it was night and Darksea went to sleep, but woke up soon after cause of a dream he saw from Clay. Darksea could see that he dreamt of Sunny in a cage screaming for help, Starflight getting pinned down by a skeleton dragon saying that he can't read minds at all, Glory being fed by another dragon skeleton saying some herbs will keep her asleep and safe.

Tsunami reaching out at Scarlet saying that she'll fight as long as she can while getting stabbed by spears, with Scarlet saying that it'll not be much longer, and lastly Kestrel getting stabbed by Scarlet's tail while saying how she knew how useless Darksea and the other dragonets are.

Darksea was horriedfied seeing it and tried to go to sleep after seeing Clay's dream.
