Chapter 8

Next morning Anokhi wakes up and sees Shaurya  sitting on her bed. 

Anokhi:  you? What are you doing here early morning?

Shaurya: why, can't i come here to meet my wife?

Anokhi: what did you say? You have come to meet me?

Shaurya: actually i have come to take you back.

Anokhi: I don't believe that I became this important for you in a single day.

Suddenly water falls on her face forcefully and she wakes up only to see Divya in front of her and realises it was just a dream. 

Divya: di its 11 o clock already  and you are still sleeping. Dreaming about jiju.

Anokhi (still sleepy): how do you know? Sorry I didn't mean that.

Divya: its ok di. You were dreaming about your husband only not someone else's. 

Sabharwal House

Nimisha:  maa bhaiya  seems to be so lost. He didn't have coffee today also and left like that to office. I think you should bring Anokhi di back now.

Aastha: nimi, she is his wife, he will see what he has to do. I did whatever i thought was right for Anokhi. Rest is their choice.

Meanwhile Shaurya is in a restaurant in a meeting. Once he finishes it he leaves the restaurant. He sees Anokhi on the other side of road walking alone talking on phone. He crosses the road and sees a group of boys staring her and passing comments. This angers him so much and one of the boys passing a flying kiss to her. Bas that was it. 

Shaurya holds his collar slaps him so hard and shouts at him "how dare you" and a punch on the face. Grabs the second boy this is what your parents have taught you. He beats all of them and they run away. Turns to Anokhi and says are you fine?

Anokhi (turning towards him): thankyou so much bhaiya.

Shaurya is shocked and sees its not Anokhi but some other girl.

Shaurya:  it's ok. Take care.

Shaurya starts thinking was he just imagining her. He was not understanding what was wrong with him. He concludes ye sab Nimi ki baaton ka asar hai. He thinks is Anokhi fine. He decides to call her. As he takes out his phone it starts ringing. It's Anokhi's father. 

Shaurya: hello,  papa aap theek hain?

Papa:  haan damadji main bilkul theek hun. Aap theek hain.

Shaurya: mai  b theek hun aur aapse kitni baar kaha hai mujhe beta kaha kijiye. 

Papa: acha beta theek hai. I was thinking if you are not busy can you come over for dinner. Post marriage you never did.

Shaurya: ok papa i will come.

Papa: see Anokhi did i not tell you that Shaurya will come. You only were saying that he will deny.

Shaurya thinks why would she think I would say no to her father. Whatever it is today I will talk to her. 

Anokhi is sitting on her bed thinking. She calls somebody. 

Anokhi:  yaar what should I do now. He is coming over for dinner.

Caller: you are worried as if he isn't your husband but some guy who is coming to see you.

Anokhi:  shut up. Do you think it's some kind of joke. 

Caller:  ok relax. Tell me whats the problem?

Anokhi: i dont want to face him. You know na we had a fight post our anniversary.

Caller:  yes but you weren't  wrong.

Anokhi:  i know it was Shaurya’s  mistake  but i was too rude.

Caller:  awww what did you say just now.

Anokhi: what????

Caller:  Shaurya, it sounds so cool from your mouth. When was the last time you have called him by his name. I am feeling so good, how good will he feel.

Anokhi:  (thinks i actually don't call him by name strange). Leave all this. I dont want to talk to him right now. You know na I  am a calm person  but when I am angry I completely loose it and  i gave him a glimpse on anniversary. But not now, then I myself don't feel good.

Caller: ok come to my place. 

Anokhi: seriously I love you. Pooja you are the best. 

Anokhi tells her father that Pooja called her and she is going to her place.

Papa: but Anokhi, Shaurya is coming. If you are not here how will he feel.

Anokhi: papa he is coming to meet you and you know I can never say no to Pooja. And she leaves.

In evening Shaurya comes for dinner. He takes blessings from his in laws and sits on the sofa. He started looking around but couldn't see her. 

Divya: di is not here.

Shaurya (worried):  why, I mean where is she. Its too late.

Divya: dont worry. She has gone to meet Pooja di.

Papa: yes, Anokhi was here only but then Pooja called her and she left. When it comes to Pooja she doesn't see anything.

Divya: papa they are childhood friends.

Shaurya: Divya how was she feeling? Is she better?

Divya: yes jiju she is perfectly fine.

Papa: come lets have dinner.

Shaurya: ok

Shaurya leaves from their post dinner. In his room he thinks why is he feeling bad if she was not their. Why did he feel the need to see her. 

His Conscience(HC):  because you are missing her. 

Shaurya turns and comes face to face with his conscience. 

Shaurya: what nonsense is this? Why would I miss her now when I never have before?

HC: because she has never left you alone like this before, so how would you miss her. You took her for granted Shaurya Sabharwal. And it vanishes. 

Shaurya:  no i haven't taken her for granted, I care for her. Are you listening? 

And with this thought he sleeps.
