Chapter 16

Shaurya and Anokhi arrive home. Aastha does their aarti. 

Aastha: come inside and have lunch. We have just started.

Shaurya(making Anokhi sit): I will be back.

Anokhi: nimi how are you doing? Is everything fine?

Nimi: yes everything is fine, just that I missed you.

Aarti: bhabhi why was bhai looking so upset?

Aastha: he might be tired. He has been in the hospital since yesterday and hasn't had anything yet.

Anokhi: what??

Parth: yes bhabhi, I had taken dinner for him but he denied saying he will have something once you are up and fine

Anokhi gets up from the dining table. 

Shaurya: where are you going? Sit and eat.

Anokhi: but the lunch was prepared, then why this.

Shaurya: I have to tell you all something. From today onwards Anokhi's breakfast and dinner is my responsibility as I am here only that time. As for lunch that will be managed by mom.

Anokhi: but its not needed Shaurya.

Shaurya: I have announced my decision and there won't be any argument on this.

Anokhi(thinking): what is wrong with him? He didn't talk me throughout the journey from hospital to home and here also he has a gloomy face. And he didn't even eat anything.

Aastha: what are you thinking Anokhi? Start eating, Shaurya has prepared this for you with so much love.

Anokhi: Aarti prepare a plate for Shaurya, i will take it upstairs for him, how come he isn't hungry.

Anokhi takes the plate and goes to the room. She climbs the stairs with great difficulty. By the time she reaches the room she is completely sweating and out of breath. 

Shaurya (holding her): what happened to you? Why are you panting like this? Give me this plate. Sit down here and have some water. Are you ok?

Anokhi: yes I am fine. I dont know I couldn't climb the stairs.

Shaurya: are you in your senses or not. Why didn't you call me? I would have come downstairs. Thoda mujhe kuch bata dogi to kuch ho nahi jaayega. 

Anokhi:  why are you so cranky? You didn't utter a word since we have come back and here also you are behaving like this. What is the problem?

Shaurya: nothing is wrong. Do you share things with me, that i will share things with you?

Anokhi: I already told you it was my mistake that I didn't tell you anything. I did not want to bother you. Had you been at my place, wouldn't you do the same? So please stop this now.

Shaurya: I guess I would have done the same but now it's enough. Promise me that from today onwards we won't hide anything from each other, however minor or major the issue is.

Anokhi: I promise and I am sorry.

Shaurya(hugging her): no its not your fault and whosoever is at fault will pay for it.
