While walking to the food court I paused and thought for a second, Jesse looked back at me. He looked confused watching tears roll down my face, at this point people around us were staring. Jesse walked over to me.
"What's wrong? Did something happen, are you okay?"
"No" I whispered.
"What?"
"NO! I want to go back home but I can't! I have no one!" I said while tears were pouring down my face.
Jesse looked surprised "I'm so sorry Maya, I've been so harsh towards you and I've pushed you too far. I'll make you and Anthony dinner at the house, kay?"
"Okay" I said while pulling Jesse in for a hug. Jesse smiled and grabbed my hand. He felt so familiar and at the same time he felt so much like a stranger. I felt safe and loved but I just really wished he was someone else. We walked towards the car and hopped in.
We both sat in a comfortable silence for the duration of the ride to his house. Anthony was outside finishing up his chores and by the time I got out of the car and grabbed my shopping bags. Anthony and Jesse was by the front door when I got there.
I walked up with my hands full, the bags were slipping out of my hands and I was struggling to keep them from dropping until Anthony ran down to help me.
"Thank you" I said hesitantly
"You're welcome" Anthony said with a big smile.
I nodded and walked to the door, Jesse opened the door for us and I walked to the guest room I was staying in, Anthony followed closely behind. I walked up the stairs, through the hallway to the guest room. I sat down on the bed and put the bags beside me, Anthony walked in and I stood up. I pushed my way pass him, walking out of the room trying to ignore the fact that we almost got caught earlier.
"Wait Maya!"
He grabbed my arm and I froze.
"Maya..." He said hesitantly, quietly.
"Yes...? " I whispered.
"I'm sorry." He said then pushed me against the wall. One hand on the side of my neck and the other on my waist pulling me closer. I sucked in a breath in surprise when he sensually placed his lips above mine, licking my bottom lip for entry.
My lips parted and he pushed his tongue into my mouth, sweeping it through my mouth. I moaned, gripping his shirt and pulling him closer.
I pulled back to take a breath and that's when my brain finally kicked in.
I pushed him away and ran out of the house.
