When Jesse came back to the house and saw Anthony drinking beer from the bottle on the couch Jesse knew something was up.
"What happened?"
Anthony took another swig before slowly answering him.
"I think I did something to Maya." He said drinking the last bit of beer in the bottle.
Anger spiked in Jesse like a firework but he kept it in check.
"Anthony what did you do to her?" Jesse asked cautiously.
Anthony didn't answer but got up and went to the kitchen. Jesse followed close behind him.
Anthony pulled out another beer from the fridge and popped it open taking a long swig. Jesse felt his patience shrivel and die and his anger came out tenfold.
"Tell me what you just did Anthony or I swear to god-" Jesse said before Anthony interrupted.
"I think i hurt her" Anthony said quietly.
"In what way?" Jesse emphasized the 'what', gritting his teeth.
"I kissed her, " Anthony said while looking down at his father.
Pissed, Jesse stormed out of the house looking for maya but after hours of running up and down the road, he found nothing and no one.
Until, he saw one of Maya's shoes on the ground.
Sprinting to the lone shoe partly in the ditch and partly on the road, Jesse picked it up and examined it. It was definitely Maya's shoe and from the look of the fresh tire marks on the ground next to it she wasn't alone.
