Poem #11: Still

Still

You like the winter while I detest it

I prefer summer but you said you'll die in that heat

It remains a puzzle to me how we got through those seasons

With our sanity intact and our hearts still beating as one

You like physical games while I'm stuck playing online

You like to cuddle and I like our hands intertwine

Let's forget the world and go to where we want to flee

Love has never been this peaceful for me

Yet, I love you still even when you're gone and away

I love you still even when we don't talk night and day

And I love you still even when your mind is clouded by despair

Remember, love, you'll never be alone as long as I'm here
