£. The setting at the beginning of the book is Notting Hill, London. The rest of the book is set in a made-up place; a city called Haven; Haven city. (If you see it somewhere else, it is a total coincidence)
£. I have imagined the characters to look exactly like the persons on the book cover (if you can see them, the cover is at the top of this page, for a clearer view)though you can imagine them however you like.
