Rose strode In the hallways carefully as she swung her head from side to side every time she passed by a door,

"234...235...236!" she exclaimed to herself but made sure to keep her voice down for the sake of the other patients In the small but equipped hospital.

She knocked briefly then pushed the door open slowly, she peeked her head In first and grinned when she saw Valice's sleeping face. She entered fully and closed the door behind her, the doors here weren't so quiet, he lifted the side of his head from the pillow but left his eyes closed as he yawned.

"I told you I was fine, no need to feed me more medicine" he spoke In an annoyed tone, she smiled to see he was actually okay, everybody was fine.

The pilot and her partner had gone home, Rose had remained with Valice here, as he was the only one that sustained a lot of Injuries, Rose herself only had cuts on her body and a mild headache.

"Even If you were shot In the heart, you would still claim you're okay" she chuckled and walked to his bedside, he smiled with his eyes still closed before opening them,

"As long as you're there scolding me, I'll be fine" he held out his hand and she took It,

"Is that some kind of kink of yours?" he shifted a little In his bed, thankfully without wincing, to create space for her to sit, she sat beside him and looked around the hospital room,

"I'm not sure, I just like when you do It" he smiled and traced circles on the back of her hand.

"When are we leaving?" she asked

"I'm leaving tomorrow, you're leaving today," he said with a stern emphasis on the pronouns In the sentence, she rolled her eyes, as they had had this conversation a few times yesterday.

"I'm not leaving without you, end of discussion"

"I really appreciate you staying with me Rose, but you should go home, you should have even gone yesterday with the pilots" he caressed her arm as he spoke,

"The funny thing Is, deep In your heart, you don't want to be alone" she pressed her finger to his chest to point directly to his heart, he grabbed her hand and chuckled

"No one wants to be alone, but you and your health come first"

"My health? I'm fine, just a few cuts, maybe not so sexy for now, but I'm fine" she grinned and he blessed her ears with another throaty chuckle,

"I know you're fine, but sleep Is essential for your health too, and you haven't slept since we got rescued, you need to rest In a comfy bed, and that Is at home"

"I don't want to leave you, what If..." his hand went to her cheeks to caress them as the smile slipped off her face,

"I told you, It's highly unlikely for It to happen again, there would be a lot of medical personnel on board even If there happens to be another crash—"

"There won't. It won't happen again" she said quickly and he smiled

"It won't, love. Come here" he pulled her Into a comforting hug, he rubbed her back up and down as she sighed repeatedly In content on his shoulder.

They pulled back when they heard the door swing open, In walked a dark-skinned female nurse with a kind smile, she greeted Rose and the latter responded with a smile and wave.

"Mr. Seylour, could you tell me the last time your bandages were changed?" she walked up to a tray at the corner of the room and started putting In clean bandages and other medical supplies and arranged them neatly.
