It was a very windy morning, another reason why Rose didn't feel like leaving her room, two people have knocked on her door, calling her out for breakfast with Valice, she Ignored them both. Now she wasn't so drunk with pain and discomfort, she had found the time In the early hours of the morning to reflect on everything she could remember from yesterday—unfortunately, and fortunately, she could remember everything.
The shock had taken over every Inch of her body during the occurrence of yesterday, now she sat In bed to rewind and think about It all, she now understood the severity of being caught In Valice's business. It had been her fault from the beginning though, she had witnessed exactly what Valice was capable of doing, yet she allowed him to charm his way Into her heart, over and over again, In the process, hitching all her plans to get the hell out of this nightmare. The nightmare she was sure was far from over.
She looked up as another knock thumped on her door, she looked away, ready to Ignore It, but this time the person walked In,
"I thought you were asleep" Rose looked up against her better judgment and scanned Valice's face, he had dark circles under his eyes, his undercut was slightly disheveled like he had run his hands In It a lot of times.
"I was" She replied and turned back to lay down, Valice walked up to the edge of her bed and sunk into the mattress, his hand went to his hair to surf through it and Rose was beginning to think that that was an unconscious behavior of his.
"Go down, your breakfast is there for you" he smiled softly at her but she didn't return it,
"I'm all good," she said and pressed her cheek to her pillow as she laid down,
"I find that hard to believe, Rose, it's almost noon, you must be hungry at least," he said and she could feel the heat of his stare at the back of her head, this made squeeze her eyes tighter unconsciously.
"Valice, why am I here?" she surprised herself with the sudden question and when she turned around to look at him, she noticed she had surprised him too,
"I don't understand" he pushed his hands Into his pockets and stood to loom over her with a questioning brow.
"What do you want from me, Valice? Why am I here?" she repeated standing up too. Valice just sent her a throaty chuckle with a small smirk,
"We talked about thi—"
"No Valice, No we didn't. We didn't talk about anything!" she interrupted him and walked up to him to jab her forefinger into his chest but he caught her hand mid-way, she shook off his hand and dismissed his impressive reflexes.
"I want you to myself?" He smiled at her and Rose remembered that sometimes she loved seeing his smiles, but moments like this, moments like when they first met at the bar, she found it annoying, very annoying how he smiled when she felt like she would blow her top at any, moment.
"Do you hear yourself Valice? You want me to yourself? "she scoffed and chuckled humorlessly, "You can't 'have me to yourself"
He sighed and moved to stroke her cheek, but she moved away, whatever he was trying to do, she wouldn't let it affect her. He stared at her for a moment, she matched his stare, he sighed again,
"I apologize for that Rose, but there's nothing else, I don't have any other business with you" he ended and turned to walk out her room,
"That's not what I heard from Sylvester though" she watched him stop in his tracks and his shoulders tensed at the mention of Sylvester. He turned to face her again and she took two more steps to meet him where he was,
