Chapter XV

I pulled away after a while.-"No, Kol... this isn't right... I'm with Kai now and-"

"You don't love me anymore..."-he cut me off and stepped away.

"I don't love you?"-I chuckled bitterly.-"I have just stopped grieving about you! I fell in love with Kai because he reminded me of you at some point, he was there when you weren't and I needed you, he made my pain go away!"

"It wasn't my choice to not be with you!"-he yelled angrily.

I widened my eyes.-"I didn't mean it like that... I just... The reason why I refused to fall in love with someone was because I'd know that no one would live forever. And then you showed up, an original vampire, who would've thought? I didn't think that I'd ever loose you! That wasn't even in my head for a second, Kol! You were my everything."-I smiled and put my palm on his cheek.-"I loved you and I always will, Kol Mikaelson... but as you... not as this, Kaleb person, not as a teenage witch. I'll love you for you. For the vampire you I fell in love with; for you, who meant the world to me; for you, who made my days, nights and nights, days. For you, who left me, unwillingly; and for you who whispered 'Always and Forever' with his last dying breaths."

He smiled and put his palm on top of mine.-"I always will love you too Kate Salvatore."-he smiled.-"But I won't let anyone else have the satisfaction of knowing how loving you feels like."-he said and everything went black.

I awoke to the sound of light jazz, being played in the back. I opened my eyes to see where I was.

At first I couldn't remember what had happened, but then it hit me.

Kol, the woods, darkness.

I got up from the bed.

"Morning sunshine."

"Rebekah..."-I grinned and hugged her.

"Hello to you too."-she chuckled.

I used to have a perfect relationship with the Mikaelsons, while I was dating Kol. They accepted me as their own. Soon after all of them became my best friends.

"What happened? How long was I out? And then again, where are we"

"You were out for 12 hours; Kol, being the idiot he is, brought you here, which is in New Orleans."

"New Orleans?!"-I widened my eyes.

She seemed sad, as if she understood my situation at that moment. She nodded.

*End of Kate's POV*
~Back in Mystic Falls~

"Remember, the last time this was happening?"-Laura said worried.

"No."-Kai said simply.

"That's because, this situation was because of you and we were worried for her."-Caroline chuckled.

"Well at least some of you knew me. But what do you know about this Kaleb guy? Nothing! Exactly nothing!"-Kai yelled.

"Let's all stay optimistic here..."-Tyler looked at his blonde, curly haired girlfriend.

Liv huffed.-"No, I can't find anything. Either him, or her. He's pretty good at what he does. It's like they disappeared into thin air."-she frowned.

"It's impossible!"-Damon burst through the door.-"Do your witchcraft again!"

"You don't get it, it's useless!"-Liv glared at Damon.

"It can't be!"

"It is."

"Well try harder."

"I did!"-she said annoyed.

"Well you're doing it wrong."-he snapped.

"Then you do it, Damon. I bet you'll-oh wait, you can't!"-she shot back.

He mimicked her face expression, because he didn't have anything better to say.-"Did you try?"-He looked at Kai.

Kai barely nodded.-"I was trying all morning."

"Ok, I am seriously worried this time!"-Damon said.

"We all are, Damon."-his younger brother put his palm on Damon's shoulder. But he jerked it off.

No, no one understood. No, one was as worried as Damon was. It wasn't the same what he and Stefan felt. True, they loved their sister, as much as they could, but Damon had his special connection with her. Whenever she wasn't happy, whenever she was sad, he felt responsible. And whenever her life was endangered and if he didn't know what to do to save her, just because he couldn't, he felt like peeling his flesh off! He couldn't just do nothing! And yet, nothing was all that he was doing... He felt like he wanted to die, knowing that his little sister isn't at her best.

"I can't bare to stay and look at this dumb ceiling anymore! I can't bare this stupid house and I can't bare any of you!"-Kai said, grabbed his jacket and slammed the door, leaving the Salvatore boarding house.

Damon followed.-"Where are you going, Parker?"

"I don't know!"-he said frustrated.-"But all of this makes me feel useless!"

Damon nodded understandingly.

"I'm going anywhere I can, I'll go to Canada, if I have to! But I can't do nothing!"

*Kol/Kaleb's POV*

"Please..."

"Are you insane? Are you aware of what you're asking me to do here?"-Klaus said.

"It's a minor thing for you, if I were still me I would've done it."

"But you're not!"-he rolled his eyes.

"What are you two arguing about?"-Elijah entered the room.

"Our brother wants me to compel the lovely Kate, into thinking that he never died, that they've been together all this time and she doesn't have a boyfriend back home."-Kalus explained.

"What?"-Elijah widened his eyes.
