Chapter XXV

Kai woke up to the sound of crying.

It was late at night, 4am, better said early in the morning.

"Kate?"-Kai said confused, as he stood from the bed.-"What is it? Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just go back to bed."-she sniffed.

She was sitting in the corner, curled up in a ball.

"You're crying?! You're crying! That's not alright!"-he said and in a blink of an eye he was next to her.-"What happened, what is it?"

"Nothing..."

"Kate..."-he warned.

"I'm just... I uh... are you sure about... this?"-she pointed out herself and the surrounding.

He looked at her confused.-"What the hell do you mean?"

"I mean about me! About us! Do you just wanna throw your life out the window? I mean, don't you wanna have children?"

"Kate, sweetheart, the last time I checked, I can't really reproduce since 48 hours ago."

"But if it weren't for me you could've lived like a normal person!"

"I never was normal!"-he chuckled.-"Kate, I was aware of what I was getting myself into, when I met you! You're the best thing that has ever happened to me! And as long as I'm with you, I don't really care what form I take-whether I'm human, witch, or vampire."-he smiled and hugged her tight.-"I love you."-he said and pressed his lips against hers.-"C'mon, let's get to bed."-he said as he took her hand and stood up.

Kate nodded and slipped under the covers.

"We have to tell her."-Kai said, as he took a sit next to Caroline.

"Woah, woah, woah! What? No!"-her eyes widened.

"It's about time."-Kai rolled his eyes. He look around, in case there was anyone around them, even tho, the Grill was empty.-"This has gone on, long enough."

"It's been only since she "left for the cruise with her long lost vamp friends", remember?"-Caroline looked him in the eyes.

"We have to stop what we're doing here and tell her."-he looked away.

"But it'll ruin everything! We worked so hard on it to just let it go."-Caroline rolled her eyes.

"What cha guys talkin' about?"-a voice snapped them back to reality.

Kate was silently lying on her bed, reading a book.

There was, suddenly, a knock on the door.

"Who ever you are, you can go away, I'm into reading today!"-Kate called out.

There were footsteps, which from Kate acknowledged that who ever it was earlier, was walking away.

A few minutes passed and through the door burst in an outrageously happy Caroline, with Laura and Elena on her tail.

"Let's go dress hopping!"-she yelled at the top of her lungs.

The whole scene, caused Kate to fall off her bed and toss the book into the air, which hit the ceiling and fell on the ground next to its owner.

"Are you serious, Caroline?"-Kate glared at her. She took her book and layed down on her bed in her earlier position.

"C'mon it'd be fun!"

Kate rolled her eyes and looked towards her.-"Seriously, you too Bonnie?"-she rolled her eyes again and went back to reading her book.
