She laughs, and it's the most musical sound in the world. I'm in love with every part of her. She pushes off me and stands up. I am still lying on my back, looking at her. "You said you had a surprise for me?" She asks. "I do," I reply and sit up on her bed. "You don't have to get me anything. I hope you know that," She says with her hands crossing over her body. I pull her, so she's in between my legs, and my fingers are in the loops of her jeans. "One, I don't care because I love you, and I will do it anyway. Two, we got to get going now, or else it will be ruined," I list out, then I stand up, give her a quick kiss, then grab her hand and drag her out of the common room.
I walk with Lyra all the way to the black lake. Since it is November, it's freezing out, and we both don't have jackets. I have her close her eyes and lead her to the surprise. We pass through a small barrier I had put up to keep out weather and unwanted people. So once we go, though, it feels just like summer again. I allow her to open her eyes, and she looks at the picnic that I had set up. It was like one of our first dates all over again. Except I had more lights, and it was all in a golden aesthetic. I want to make my girl feel like the princess she is.
I look at Lyras's face, and she is smiling so brightly. She then turns back around to me and gives me a giant hug with tears in her eyes. "Why are you crying?" I ask her. "No one has ever done something like this for me ever," She says into my shirt. I smile and rub her back. "Well, I am glad I got to be the first," I say. I pull her by her hand onto the blanket.
We sit there and eat and talk all morning into the afternoon. Then Taylor comes marching out to drag Lyra away from me to get her ready for the party tonight. I smile and kiss Lyra and then let Taylor pull her away. I watch them go, then I turn around and start to pick up our little picnic. When I turn around, Lilly is standing behind me. "Lilly, you scarred," I say and begin to walk back up to the castle.
"Let me walk with you," She says, and we start to walk up to the castle in silence. "Why do you like Lyra?" She asks as we start up the stairs to the common room. "Because she is gorgeous and deserves the entire world and I don't just like her; I love her," I say. "But what happened to you chasing me?" She keeps asking. "Well, you ignored my advances, so I gave up, and that is when I found Lyra," I say. She stops, and I keep on walking. "What if I was just playing hard to get?" Lilly asks again. That makes me stop. Did Lily like me and playing hard to get, or is she lying? "You shouldn't have then cause I chased you for so long, and then I found someone I truly love," I say, then keep walking. I walk into the Gryffindor common room then up to my dorm. I knock, and Sirius's voice comes in. "Come in," He screams. Moony and Padfoot are lying naked on Moonie's bed. "We should get ready for the party," I say and then walk into the bathroom and shut the door.
