"Mark! Time to wake up!"
"A few more minutes, mom..."
"Oh, I'm not mom!" She said, then barged into my room and sat on my back, which hurts because she's quite heavier than she looks.
"Get off of me, Melanie!"
"Not until you get up!" she said while sticking her tongue out.
Geez, the first thing I need in the morning is a few more minutes of sleep, and not having a stubborn girl forcing me to wake up. She should give me the extra Z's, due to the fact that my lack of sleep was caused by her in the first place. At least, I think it was.
After last night's dinner, Melanie went to Mirna's room for them to talk about girl stuff that people say guys won't understand. I helped my mom while she washed the dishes, and then I headed to my room.
I realized that it was still too early to go to sleep, but there was nothing much to do. I could've studied, but I haven't recieved my books yet. I could've borrowed some manga from Mirna, but I didn't want to disturb them. So I decided to just lay down and wait for me to go to sleep. However, the sounds around me prevented me to do so. The ticking sounds of my wall clock, the giggling from the next room, even the sound of my beating heart. It left me very uneasy.
So instead, I openned the window to take a gander at the night sky. The nature's breeze hummed as it passed my ears, and the freckles of light lucky enough to be brighter than the city appeared from above. This is my type of scenario, because, like having a lick of one of those premium Ice Cream, it makes me calm and at ease, that my problems just went away.
But, now what? That was all that was left from it. I didn't want my boredom to take over. So I thought of many things I could do. And my final descision was---to check my e-mail. And no, I am not a retro hippie. I know that nobody opens their e-mail, like, forever (Maybe during e-mail verifications amd such), but I really have nothing to do. My computer doesn't have games installed because my pc is slower than a snail. And I'm just going to open my email, nothing bad would happen anyway.
I settled down infront of the screen and powered up the CPU. And since my PC takes years to boot up, I decided to get some grub. So I headed down to the dining area to see what I could eat, though all that was left was a can of Coke and a couple of Oreo Packs, which I guessed was better than nothing.
I returned to my room, but I halted my footsteps as I passed by Mirna's. Behind the door, giggles and chatting could be hearde. I was curious of what they were talking about, so I cupped my ears on the door so I could hear.
"Man! Dense dudes are the worse!" Melanie cried
"Maybe, but I think they make the romance in animes more interesting. Don't you think?" Mirna asked
"I guess, but if I became a heroine of some oblivious protagonist, I'll give up and find another."
"Even if you really love him?" Mirna added
"Well..." Melanie said, though with a more shy tone on her voice. "...that's different..."
"Hmm..." Mirna sounded like she found something out
"Do you currently like someone, onee-chan?" Mirna asked.
"M-me? N-no! I don't have someone I l-like!"
"Oh? Come on, Onee-chan~! You can't hide it from me!"
"I said I don't like anyone!"
H-how could she? Messing me up by saying she likes me, then denies it? How could she mess with my pure feelings! So many thoughts and curses have flooded my mind, that I didn't even notice that the door was already opening. The next thing I knew, I was already lying on the ground.
