*Ding-Ding-Dong-Ding*
How come the bells sounded a bit more ominous than usual?
Apparently it was already recess, and as everyone else joyfully waltzed out the room, I could barely move a cell. Apart from getting called-on twice and still feeling drowsy as hell, the feeling of getting called to the teacher's office alone is the worst! (Excluding anything that involves being a summoner)
Kyle, who left the girl he was with, approached me. "Hey bro, don't worry about it!" he smiled. "I will definitely come to your funeral!" he followed with a thumbs-up.
"I'm touched that you would rather go without your 'current' girlfriend just to tell me such crap" I sarcastically smiled back.
"Just tryin' to lighten you up before the inevitable, and before I forget about our friendship because your reputation ain't good for the ladies." He gave a creepy smile.
"Uhm..."
"Just kidding!" he pat on the back kinda hard, almost made me cough. "Well, just the first one." He gave that smile again.
"What?!"
"Hahaha! I got you, bro!" he almost fell on the floor laughing "You should've seen your face!"
"Why am I friends with you again?"
"Cauz' I'm cool and awesome!" he cheered.
"Ugh! Spare me..." I rolled my eyes
Our quite pointless conversation didn't last a couple minutes, because he didn't want his girl to get mad at him or something. I started to ease up a bit thanks to him. So I took a deep breath and began to head off.
As I was walking through the corridors, I wanted to check the time, so I looked at my phone. I noticed that I still had time to eat before I head there, but I also noticed Saika in a construction worker's outfit building a brick wall.
"Uhm... Saika?"
"Wah!" She jumped and quickly hid behind the half-built wall. "N-Nii..."she murmured
"What's up with the wall?"
"Uhm..." She peeked slowly "I thought you don't want to see me because you're mad. So-"
"So you built a wall?" I concluded
She didn't even try to hide any more, she stood there looking down and gloomy. She totally was a copy of Mirna, because whenever she thought I am mad at her, she builds a wall between us until we're settled, not literally of course. 'Cause if she really was going to build an actual wall. Oh boy, that would be enough to build a house or two.
I began to giggle at that thought, which caught Saika in confusion. "W-Wha? N-Nii, d-daijoubu? Why are you laughing? Aren't you mad?"
"No, it's just... you remind me so much about Mirna." I continued on giggling.
"Well, I AM apparently the exact copy of her." She said as she started to smile.
"And also..." I added after calming down a bit. "I'm not mad. I was never mad at you."
She started to frown again. "B-But... it was my fault..."
"No, it's not, Saika." I calmly said "I'm the one who gave you that command. You were just doing what you were told."
"Yeah... Still... Gomenasai!" she cried as she looked at me with her tear-filled eyes.
