Teal rolled over and nuzzled into Xerus's coils he had answered her question about if dragons can mate with a human while in dragon form. It was amazing, "Xerus," His head popped up from the edge of the nest and looked at her. "Everything feels off, I guess your people call it the Tone." She groaned as he morphed taking away the coils she was comfortable in.

"What do you mean the Tone is off," He stripped off his clothes and grabbed ahold of her. She looked up into his eyes and saw the hunger "Who's tone is off."

"It's not a who, it's the tone in the air." She frowned "does that make sense because it confuses me."

"When did the tone first feel off in the air?" Xerus was worried if their plan had set this off. "This is important sweetheart, when the Tone in the air is off that could be disastrous for the dragons. The tone in the air is" he sighed trying to find a way to explain it to her "it's kind of like the voice of the morphing ability of the dragons. If it the tone in the air is too off we won't be able to morph, the balance and the tone." He groaned "it's complicated"

"It was non-existent until Doc learned about your people. Then I could hear the tone." Teal shrugged "It just feels uncomfortable."

"So we're missing something maybe." He leaned back into the nest and Teal stretched out on top of him "That is very distracting." He kissed her "I guess we will have to go over this again later." He wrapped her in his arms and rolled over placing her underneath him "I believe we were in the middle of knocking you up" he leaned in and started kissing her neck. The door started to creak open making Xerus snarl in his human form.

"I like the sound of that" Teal giggled. "That is very exciting hearing this form snarl." He looked down at her and revved up his fire, his eyes glowed red and smoke poured out of the corners of his mouth as his lip curled. The door started to open again, Xerus morphed, leapt out of the nest, flung open the door with a raging erection and exhaled fire into the hallway. He snorted at the now blackened staff and slammed the door.

The staff, stood there stunned for a moment then turned to the side and looked at Steph and Sage "Why did that fire not burn?"

"Because it was a warning" Steph giggled "next time it will."

Sage was laughing still "Just go tell Doc he doesn't want to be disturbed and get Doc's advice." They nodded and hurried off to speak with Doc who was pacing in his office. They didn't have to really say anything the second he saw them he laughed.

"Just leave Xerus alone then, if he needs anything he will tell you, trust me" he laughed, again as they turned and left. With all that he was trying to get done he needed that laugh, and nobody can provide a laugh like Xerus. Doc went back to pacing in his private room, the anxiety lessened just a bit "they sure are taking their time getting back to me." He had done the impossible, he had reached out to his government's biggest irritation, the Ambassador of the Courter Region. The very patch of dirt that the Dragons had been ripped away from. The Ambassador had been away from the region only briefly to visit an ally of the Dragons when the attack took place and since the attack the ambassador had been the sole purpose of the Courter Region remaining off limits to everyone. If the attackers thought they would get free land, they quickly learned they were wrong. The ambassador's formal name was Basenji but only his most trusted friends called him that, most called him Senji. Doc had only heard about him; he had not had the privilege of meeting him yet.
