4. Wands And Robes

I was growing angry with each day as I thought about how Riddle betrayed me. Riddle did this for power, I was in it for the greater good.

The streets of Diagon Alley were not as full as they normally were. Ollivander's wasn't in business and new students had to go elsewhere for their wands.

I kept a strong demeanor as Esmeree pulled my arm wanting to see the newest edition to the alley. Opening the door, the sweet smell of treats and gags filled the air as we entered Weasley Wizard Wheezes, a new shop now run by the Weasley twins.

"Scarlett!" I smiled and turned to the sources of the matching voices.

"Hi, boys. Fred, George, I absolutely adore this."

"Well, thanks-"

"That means a lot-"

"Coming from you!"

I smirked and turned to Esmeree, "Hey, why don't you go and find something you like and bring it back to me. Go on, just make sure you can see me at all times, wherever you are."

She nodded and soon ran off, eventually finding some friends to talk with. I turned back to George who was left with me as Fred ran off to help another kid.

"I really do want to thank you, Scarlett. We couldn't have done any of this if you hadn't have given us that prize money."

"No worries, honestly, it wouldn't have done anything to me." He chuckled and shook his head.

"Well, it's good to know that I have an insanely rich friend."

I rolled my eyes and shoved him gently, pushing him into the trio who seemed to walk in behind us. Ignoring them I turned to a shelf that held multiple objects of black spherical orbs. George smirked and picked a handful of them up, handing them to me.

"Take it, Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder."

"I can't," He shook his head and handed them to me, I laughed and pulled out a few Galleons and held them out, "Here I'll pay, how much?"

"No, nope. Just take them."

I smiled and tilted my head, "Well then, I'll put it to good use."

"Of course you will, you're Scarlett Grindelwald," his eyes met mine and he gave me a soft smile before placing a hand on my shoulder, "I have to go, but I'll see you later?"

"Of course," I held up the pouch of darkness powder, "And thanks for this."

"Anytime. Seriously, anything you want, free." I waved him off as he went to speak with Ginny and Granger, he turned back to me a few times, meeting my eye, smiling.

I turned away and stuffed the pouch of darkness powder into my ever-expanding bag. I looked around the joyous shop and thought about all the people that were given joy because of the twins.

Too bad, it wasn't going to last for long.

Soon enough, Esmeree found me again with some joke items along with trick school supplies.

I quickly paid for her items and soon walked Esmeree out of the shop, bidding the boys goodbye once more. We made our way to Madam Malkin's, where we were meeting up with Draco and his mother as well.
