A crack of light filled the sky, my room lit up before I was shaken by the roar that followed.

I was getting tired, but I knew what I needed to do, even if it meant leaving.

~

Draco had yet to make an attempt to communicate with me since our visit with my uncle and I had no intention of visiting until I knew why.

I rolled my eyes, marching into his room, "Draco Malfoy. I don't care what my uncle told you but if you don't say something to me this instant, I might just implode."

He turned around in his chair and stood up, meeting my eyes. He walked towards me and his face was stern and fell before he made a quick movement, stabbing me. A silver dagger just barely grazing my heart as I looked up at him.

"I'm sorry," he whispered before looking away.

I could feel the blade that was pierced into my chest. I felt the pain but I only pushed it aside as I tried to find his eyes. I fell back a step but only stood up taller, a smirk growing across my face.

I scoffed and wrapped my fingers around the handle made of leather, pulling the jagged dagger from my chest as I held back the urge to give in to the pain. I looked up and met his eyes, hurt but I held my ground, "Was that supposed to hurt?"

His eyes flew back up to me as he took a step back and grew shocked, "H- how?"

"It doesn't matter how. Why? Why did you stab me? What happened to talking to each other?"

"I- I had to. I'm sorry, he said I had to. I-"

"He? He who? My uncle?" He nodded and lowered his head, "Are you serious? What does he know about me?! He was wrong!"

"He said that if you lose control, you'll lose yourself! The only way to save you was to harm you! Make you feel again! Then I'd get you back!"

"That's what he told you?!" I yelled back at him as he scoffed.

"I need you, Scarlett! I- I don't want to lose you..."

"You. Don't. Know. Me." He met my eyes and his face dropped.

"What?"

"You don't know me, Draco. You never did. My uncle's right. I am a monster."

"No. No, you're not. Come on Scar, I know you. I've known you my whole life."

"What do you know? How many people have lost their lives because of me? How many towns have I destroyed? How many homes have been set aflame, because of me?"

He was confused but took a step towards me, standing his ground, "No. I know that you are good."

I shook my head and laughed slightly before meeting his eye again, "I'm not good."

"Yes, you are! Y- you enjoy picnics on the side of a lake! You've love Esmeree and Blaise as your own family. You are not a monster. There is good in you, I've seen it! Please, I need you, but I can't let you lose yourself!"

"Stop, Draco. Just stop." The low growls of the distant thunders rumbled the floors before I took a step towards him.

"No, Scarlett. You are a person who enjoys licorice wands and drinking butterbeer with just a sprinkle of cinnamon," his eyes held mine as he stepped forward again and gently grabbed my hands, "You look forward to the future, and you want a family. You want kids and a home full of life, but you need to come back, please, for me, Scar."

I thought for a moment and then a smirk played across my lips, "Oh, really?"

I took a step closer as I brought my hand up to his face, tilting his head to face mine, he let out a shaky breath that was barely heard.
