Legolas leaned over and peered at my iPad. His eyebrow arched delicately and he asked "who's Riley?""Uhh... Riley is my friend," I answered blushing slightly. "She's very... Honest." Honest, what a great word to use to describe her, Katherine.
"Ah." Legolas grinned and remarked in a sassy tone, "you don't know anything about me anyways so tell Riley anything you want."
I could just hear Riley's voice and her response if she heard this: 'ooooh, that sass.'
He seems nice I replied with a sideways glance at Legolas. His attention was now focused on his computer screen but I could see his small smile.

"This is Legolas," I announced at the lunch table. Parker raised his eyebrows and gave me a questioning look. Shaking my head slightly I have him my 'I'll tell you later' look.
"Ooh cool, like Lord of the Rings?" Emeline asked. She waved in Legolas' direction but then resumed talking to the girl next to her.
"Yeah," Legolas replied. He picked at his food, a turkey sandwich, and then asked "why don't you introduce yourselves?"
"Parker," Parker said in his usual bored tone. He adjusted his glasses and resumed eating his french fries. Unhealthy weirdo.
"Liv." Liv frowned at her soup which was cold now. "I'm going to go warm up my soup again."
"Riley," Riley said, smirking. "You may have heard of me."
"I'm Shannon," Shannon told him. She flipped her red hair over her shoulder. "You won't have heard of me," she added with a teasing look towards Riley who shrugged.
"Valerie. Or Val for short." Val politely smiled at Legolas and then started up a conversation with Emeline who briefly cut her off to say, "hi, I'm Emeline, it's nice to meet you."
"And I'm Melody," Mel added while also joining in on Val and Emeline's conversation.
"I'm Edward," Edward said briefly. He fished his sandwich out of his bag and then got up to go buy some food from the cafeteria
"Kristen, or Kris," Kris announced. She adjusted her headband and then asked the table, "anyone want a cookie? They're homemade."
At that the whole table ooh'd and ahh'd while eagerly reaching out to accept the cookies.
Rolling my eyes I whispered to Legolas, "and there's Blake and Josh," while pointing to the other two boys who were brave enough to sit at our table. "Be careful, Josh talks a lot."
"I'll keep that in mind," Legolas laughed.
"So you're the new boy," a voice said from behind me. I turned around to see Bethany, one of Marlene's 'henchmen' looking pointedly at him. "You should sit with us and not with these losers."
"I don't think they're losers," Legolas said defensively. "They're pretty cool, they remind me of the elves back at home." Oops.
"Elves?" Bethany sneered.
"Um, elves, that's what they call teenagers in Britain," Legolas lied, attempting to cover up his slip up. Apparently, Bethany believed him, which was not surprising because she wasn't very smart to begin with.
"Whatever loser," she said. She flipped her hair and started to walk away only to bump into Mr. Lorde who taught history. He reprimanded her and then continued on his way.
"Elves?" Riley looked up from her food. "Like ... Elves from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings?"
"Yeah." Legolas' ears turned pink. "I guess I should just say this, I'm from Middle Earth."
