A/N sorry, I just had a sudden urge to write something from Parker's point of view.

Parker's POV~

Ten years later...

"Do we have any cereal?" Kylie asked me. Her caramel hair fell into her chocolate brown eyes as she looked down at the grocery list she was writing.

"Mhm... Probably," I replied casually. I walked over to the pantry and opened it up. Two boxes of Cornflakes were on the second shelf. "Yes."

I closed the door and glanced at the fridge which was covered in pictures. They were mostly of Kylie and me. And of our friends. There was a piece of paper that seemed a bit bulky and when I lifted it up, I saw the picture of Katherine and Legolas in the car with starbursts all around them.

I remember that day. When she left us to be with Legolas. I asked her for the photo and she gave it to me. In return, she took a picture of the whole group with her Polaroid camera. I think she still has that picture.

Under that picture there was the one Emeline took. Their faces were so close together, it was hard to tell if there was any space between them.

I sighed. I missed Katherine. She was one of my best friends, one of Liv's best friends. She was our best friend, in so many ways. I can't believe she chose Legolas over us. But it was inevitable. He stole her heart the moment she saw him in technology class.

"I'm sorry," Kylie murmured, coming up behind me and wrapping her arms around my waist.

*knock knock*

"I'll get the door,"I told Kylie, unwinding myself from her embrace. I skipped into the living room and then yanked open the front door.

Liv and her husband Oliver were standing on our front step grinning. Samzin was standing behind them with his girlfriend, Patricia.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?" I joked.

Before any of them could answer, Christian and a pretty girl barreled into Samzin. "This is Samantha!" He told us all enthusiastically.

"Wonderful," Kylie laughed.

"We're engaged," Samantha announced. She showed us her left hand on which there was a pretty gold band.

"Oh wow," I commented. "Getting ready to finally commit Chrissy?"

"My name isn't Chrissy!" He shouted.

"May I use your bathroom?" Samzin asked, hesitantly. "I need to pee."

"Oh boy." Liv smiled.

"So why're you here?" I asked. I shoved my hands into my pockets and felt something. Deciding to leave it until later, I tried to look casual and not like I was missing one of our friends.

"We wanted to see if you would join us for dinner," Patricia offered.

"That sounds good!" I enthused. My face fell slightly. "I wish Katherine was here."

"Me too," Christian added somberly. His face was now downcast and I felt bad.

"So where are we eating?" Kylie mused. She ran her hands through her hair; God, I love her hair.

I flashbacked to when we first met.

Flashback~

I was sitting in a cafe, mourning the loss of Katherine when a girl slid into the seat beside me. Her hair was a soft caramel colour and her eyes were chocolate brown.

"You look lonely," she commented, wrapping her hands around her coffee cup.

I glanced at the cup. Her name was written on the side: Kylie.

"I forgot to introduce myself," Kylie announced unnecessarily. "My name is Kylie Greene."

"I am Parker Burier," I told her. I held out my hand for her to shake. She smiled and shook it. Her hand was surprisingly soft and warm. "So, do you normally talk to lonely looking strangers?" I teased.

"Only the good looking ones," she replied, smirking mischievously. She flicked her hair over her shoulder and I caught a whiff of her shampoo. I thought of what Christian would say to that, "kinky."

I blushed slightly and then said, trying to sound casual, "so you think I'm good looking?"

Now it was Kylie's turn to blush. "Yes."

I raised my eyebrows but said nothing to that. "Tell me about yourself."

"Is that a pickup line that's supposed to sound sexy?" Kylie joked. She laughed when she saw my mouth which had fallen slightly open. "I'm single, I graduated with an engineering degree, I live with my parents and I like to program."

"Wow," I said. "That's really cool."

"Thank you, how about yourself?" Kylie deflected the conversation from her.

"Um... Well... I have a major in economics and a minor in music... Ah... I live alone in my apartment and I like to... Paint," I told her truthfully, waiting for her to laugh or call me gay.

"Paint?" She queried. Her lips creeped back into her gorgeous smile again.

"Watercolor mostly," I admitted. I held my breath.

Kylie tilted her head and seemed to be memorizing my face.

"Take a picture," I teased, "it'll last longer."

She slapped me gently on my arm, "cheeky."

On an impulse I blurted out, "go out with me?"

"Yes."

End of flashback~

"Parker?" Kylie stood above me. Apparently I had sat down during the whole flashback. "Are you okay?" She offered my her hand to help me up.

"Yes," I replied, taking her hand. "Sorry, just thinking."

"About?" Samzin asked. He had just come back from the bathroom.

"About when I first met Kylie," I told him honestly.

"That's so sweet!" Liv cooed.

I thought about what Katherine would say. She would probably say nothing and just smile. I'm glad she's with Legolas, he made her happy. And I wanted her to be happy for the rest of her life.

"Let's go."
