"This is why we can't have nice things Samzin," Christian sighed exasperatedly. He face palmed and added, "if we die, might I add, you're dead to me."

"That makes no sense," Parker muttered. He rolled down the window on Samzin's side and then subtly put his foot on the gas pedal.

The man standing outside the van was fairly young, just a sophomore or freshman in college. He was wearing a black leather jacket with a pale yellow t-shirt under it. The letters on it were faded but they spelled out 'University of Maine.' His black jeans were worn and frayed at the knees. A dangerous looking dagger hung off his belt.

"What's a group of teenagers like you doing around a place like this?" The man asked.

"Cliché," Liv commented under her breath.

"We're going on a hiking trip," Parker replied, his voice steady. The only signs of his nervousness is that he gripped the steering wheel so tight, his knuckles turned white.

"There are a lot of girls in the other van," a crusty looking guy said, walking up to the one who was standing outside of the passenger door.

"My name is Derrick, and my friends over here are Pete, Joshua, and Herman," Derrick said. He turned to the crusty looking guy and replied, "how many of them look good, Joshua?"

I shuddered when I heard him talking about my friends like this. Legolas cast a sideways glance at me and asked quietly, "do you trust me?"

I flashed back briefly to when he first asked me this. Without any hesitation this time, I replied, "of course I do."

Legolas quietly opened the doors in the back of the van and crawled out. I saw him remove a sword from one of the bags. My mouth opened to ask him where the hell, he got it, he raised a finger to his lips and then darted away.

I didn't want him to kill them. My heart was hammering in my chest frantically.

"Why don't you just hand over all of your girls and we'll let you go," Derrick offered. He took his knife out and made a show of cleaning his nails with it.

"Touch anyone in these two vans and I will behead you, human!" Legolas snarled. He had come up behind Derrick and now he was holding the sword up to his throat.

"Who the frick do you think you are?" Derrick roared, trying to shake Legolas off. He had underestimated him though, and he found he could not move without slitting his throat on the sword.

"I am Legolas Greenleaf, son of Thranduil, from the Woodland Realm," Legolas replied.

Joshua was creeping up behind Legolas but Legolas, having amazing hearing, heard him, and turned around. He punched him in the face and then whirled around to knee Derrick in his stomach. His eyes darted around to find the remaining two and spotted them hanging by the black van.

Slamming the hilt of his sword on Derrick's and Joshua's temples to knock them off, Legolas than ran over to do the same to Pete and Herman.

He scrambled into the white van from the back and sat down next to me, acting as if nothing strange had just happened.

"Um... Before we get moving, kindly sheath your sword," Parker said, clearing his throat.

Legolas sheathed it and then placed it on the floor.

"Mountains here we come!" Samzin shouted enthusiastically. He whooped once and then cracked open a coke.

Tipping the can to his mouth, he began to drink but was interrupted when Parker reached over and smacked the can out of his hand. The sugary drink spilled all of Samzin's lap and onto the van's floor.

"God dammit!" Samzin yelled. He smashed the can against Parker's forehead and then slouched in his seat.

"Well that escalated quickly," Christian commented. Parker rolled his eyes and then put the car into drive.

I leaned over to Legolas and whispered, "where did you get the sword?"

"When I found myself in your world, I had everything on me," Legolas told me. He thought for a second and then added, "it's in the green duffel bag. All of it. Except the sword of course." He nudged the sword with his toe.

"Oh." I couldn't think of anything else to say.

*SLAM!*

"What now?!" Serena grumbled. She crossed her arms over her chest and furrowed her eyebrows.
