Eunha and Huening Kai took their seats and Taehyun sat across them accompanied by Namjoon. "Why are you still here?" Taehyun asked his friend. "I'm her lawyer" Huening Kai replied with a smile. "Yes?" Eunha looked at him with a confused face but suddenly something clicked her mind "How did you know that I was there?" She asked Huening Kai. "I received a call from your number" he replied. "I didn't call you though...oh I guess Park Jin Young accidentally called you when he snatched my phone as I was about to call the police" she explained.
"Aren't you going to thank your prince charming on a white horse who came to rescue you" Huening Kai said cheesily. "You?" the girl gave him a disgusted look "But you came in a police car and the police rescued me" she said as a matter of fact. "Okay at least I can be your knight because I was the one who brought help" Huening Kai added. "Oh so you want credit for informing the police about my kidnapping? Thank you Mr. Huening" she said with a fake smile.
Taehyun and Namjoon witnessed the scene with a disgusted look. "Why am I even friends with you?" Taehyun sighed. Namjoon cleared his throat to bring attention to him "Do these phones belong to you Miss Moon?" he asked showing two phones and the girl nodded. "And what about the voice recording? I think it has been deleted from both the phones" He asked. Eunha informed them that she sent the file to her father's phone. "So where is your father's phone?" Taehyun asked. "Dad's in prison...so I have no idea where his phone is" Eunha replied. "Don't worry we'll get the phone for you" Namjoon said. "You are really brave. You did well" Taehyun said with a smile. "Thank you for your help" she smiled back.
"But why did you go alone? It would have been dangerous!" Huening Kai roared. "There was no use in convincing you and I couldn't just not do anything" she said. Huening Kai felt a sting in his heart at her statement. He didn't do anything for the girl he liked and only if he had helped her, she wouldn't have gone to meet Park Jin Young.
"I know he's a coward but he didn't help you because Park Jin Young threatened to harm his family, that's why he had to give up on the case" Taehyun spilled. "Taehyun why-" Huening Kai was about to say but got cut by his detective friend who said "Because I knew that you won't tell her". Huening Kai sighed and Eunha's jaw dropped. "Why did he gave you money when he threatened you?" she asked. "Well, I had received the money but I never said that I accepted it" Huening Kai replied. Taehyun and Namjoon left the room two give the two some space.
"I'm so sorry....all this time I thought of you as a bad guy" she said feeling guilty. "No please don't apologize, I'm a coward...I should've fought back" he said looking down. "No no, if I was in your shoes I would have done the same...I mean It's risky to put your family in danger to help a stranger" she said giving a soft smile. "Thank you for understanding, but don't worry I'm going to re-open the case and we'll get your father out" he said. ''But why weren't you returning my money if you didn't want to get involved in it?'' Eunha asked. ''Because I didn't want you to get involved with that dangerous man''
Eunha was about to say something but her phone rang. It was her mother.
"Eunha where are you? It's dark out there come back home"
"I'm...at the police station mom"
"Why police station?"
"Mom... dad's going to be home in a few days"
"What? That's great but what's happening?"
"I'll explain everything once I'm home. Don't worry I'm safe"
"Okay come back soon"
The call ended. "We should get going now" said Huening Kai. Before leaving Eunha once again thanked Taehyun and his team for their help.
"Get in I'll drop you" Huening Kai said. "No it's really fine" Eunha replied. "But it's not fine for me" he said. He opened the door to the passenger seat but before Eunha could react her stomach growled making her feel embarassed. "Right...you were there since morning. Let's eat something first and it's dinner time already" he chuckled. Eunha just followed.
They went to a restaurant and talked a lot, got to know each other more. Eunha insisted to pay for her share but Huening Kai payed the bill by himself.
"Thank you so much" Eunha said as the two were on her way to her home. "For what?" He asked. "For everything...for saving me today and for the food" she chuckled. "And you're not as bad as I thought" she added. He chuckled at her comment. "And here we are.. I'll let you know about the case so you can sleep peacefully now" Huening Kai said. "Yes, I trust you" she smiled warmly.
