9. TRIAL AGAIN

3rd December 2020

Another trial was held for Mr. Moon and at the same time for Mr. Park.

Huening Kai revealed the video of a man breaking into Mr. Moon's house. He was also given a warning as he had hid the piece of evidence in the previous trial but was excused as Mr. Park had threatened him. Thus Mr. Moon was proven not guilty.

Mr. Park Jin Young received imprisonment for 15 years and a fine for crimes like bribery, false charges against an innocent person, threatening, kidnapping and many other crimes were revealed.

"I've got the best daughter I could ever ask for" Mr. Moon said for the umpteenth time that day. "I just did what I should've done as a daughter" Eunha said with a huge grin as she was setting up the table for dinner. "Eunha's father come on, we've prepared a feast for you. Let's eat before the food gets cold" said Mrs. Moon excitedly.

"I missed your food so much" Mr. Moon said while digging into the meal. "More than me?" Mrs. Moon questioned. "Well.." The three bursted into laughter and continued to talk about random things.

4th June 2021

Huening Kai finished his work and walked outside. He saw a girl standing near his car, her back facing him but she knew who the girl was. "Eunha? What brings you here?" He asked with a huge smile. "Yesterday I couldn't thank you properly because I was too happy to see my father and...here I forgot to return your muffler" she said. He took the muffler and said "You don't have to thank me, I just fixed my mistake and did what was right" he said still smiling like a fool, as he was talking to the girl he likes.

"Also, I wanted to treat you to something good, do you have some time? Do you have a place in your mind?" Eunha excitedly asked. "No you don't have to treat me" he said. "Please please...I insist" she looked at him with expectant eyes. "Alright, I know a good place. Hop on" he said as the two sat in his car.

"When are you going to graduate?" Huening Kai asked as the two devoured on the food. "Oh right, winter break ends today...then I have my finals after two months and then graduation" she sighed. "Study well then...all the best for your finals" he said ruffling her hair. Again, her heart skipped a beat and her cheeks turned pink. "T-thank you" she said looking away.

The two talked about random things while eating and celebrated their new friendship.

"It's freezing out here" Huening Kai said as soon as they got out of the restaurant. "Yes it is" Eunha said rubbing her palms to keep herself warm. "Here" Huening Kai wrapped the same white muffler around her neck. "You don't have to and I just returned this to you" she pouted. "Then you should've dressed more warmly" he said and sat in the car. "But I am dressed warmly" Eunha muttred and got on the passenger seat.

The way to her home was silent, no one spoke anything. It wasn't an awkward silence but a comfortable one. Both enjoyed each other's company.

"Thanks for the ride" Eunha said as she removed the seat belt. "And thanks for the dinner" Huening Kai added. Both bursted into laughter. "Goodnight...sleep well and dream of me" Huening Kai winked. "I think I won't be able to eat cheese for a few months now" Eunha sighed. "Why?" "Because this was too cheesy" she shook her head. "Whatever you say" he replied. "Goodnight, drive safely" she smiled and both waved goodbye to each other.

"So how was the date?" Mrs. Moon asked as soon as Eunha entered. "It wasn't a date" the girl said as she blushed. "Whatever you say" her mother scoffed.

"I wonder when our next meeting would be, now that we don't have any excuse to meet...should I ask her out? No...that would be too fast, but what if she's not interested in me?" he sighed as he continued to drive.

Eunha took a bath and changed into comfortable clothes. She called her best friend and cousin Lee Minseo and talked about the events that happened in the past few days.

"SO YOU WENT ON A DATE WITH HIM TODAY?"
"No, that wasn't a date! I just wanted to thank him"
"But I think he likes you, he keeps flirting with you and even gave his muffler to you twice"
"Why would he like me? He can get better girls than me"
"What about you? Do YOU like him?"
"I... I don't know...he do gives me butterflies sometimes and maybe yes I like him...but he's way out of my league"
"But will you be able to meet him now that you don't have a reason to?"
"Let's see what destiny is planning for us"
"You and your talks about destiny...anyways we're finally going to meet tomorrow"
"Yes the college starts tomorrow and we can see each other everyday"

The two girls continued their talks about various topics.
