"I wanted to see what you'd do after waking up and I see you've got a spare phone... impressive" said Park Jin Young walking out of the shadows. 'I'm dead' Eunha thought as shivers ran down her spine. The man walked closer and snatched her phone again but accidentally his finger touched the screen and the call connected to the last person that Eunha had called the previous night.
Huening Kai was having his lunch when he received a call. "MOON EUNHA?" his eyes widened in surprise and unknowingly he smiled reading the name.
Flashback:
Eunha waved goodbye to Huening Kai as he dropped her home. After dinner, she decided to call her cousin Lee Minseo who is also her best friend to talk to her about the recent incidents, but accidentally she called ''Mr. Kai Kamal Huening' instead of 'Minseo'. Eunha hurriedly ended the call before it could even connect. "That was close" she sighed. "Well, I'll just talk to her tomorrow" she said before drifting to sleep.
End of flashback.
Before Huening Kai could even speak he heard a man's voice which took him by surprise. "So you want to play dirty tricks you little...you don't know what you've put yourself into. I was going to let you go but now I need to teach you a lesson"
"I'm sorry I gotta go" Huening Kai said as he grabbed his coat and left in a hurry leaving his co-workers wondering about the emergency. The phone call was still on, he got in his car and put on his expensive airpods to continue to listen to the conversation as he began to drive. "Where did she go to put herself in danger and who is this man?" he thought.
"You know what I'm capable of, right? Don't you have any fear?" The man continued. "Is it fun to ruin people's lives?" Eunha asked trying to hold back her tears. "It is" the man chuckled. "Anyways, you know I'm a busy man so I got some work to do, till then have fun here" he said shoving her mobile in his pocket and left with the guards and locked the door again.
"Shit" Huening Kai cursed. "Moon Eunha what did you get yourself into?" he sighed.
Huening Kai parked his car in front of the police station and rushed inside. "KANG TAEHYUN! KANG TAEHYUN!" he yelled looking for his best friend who is a detective. "That way" said a man pointing to a croner where a guy was laying on his chair with his eyes closed.
"KANG TAEHYUN WAKE UP!" said Huening Kai to the sleepy man. "Not now Kai, we just catched a gang... I'm so tired" Taehyun sighed. "It's an emergency...track this number, I think she's kidnapped" Huening Kai yelled. "Kidnapping?" Taehyun said as he got up with a jerk. "Show me the number" he said. Huening Kai gave him the number and Taehyun began with his work. "Who is she?" he asked. "She's...just a client" replied Huening Kai. "And how do you know that she's kidnapped?" Taehyun asked as he was still focusing on tracking the girl's phone. "I'm not sure if she intentionally or accidentally called me but I heard a man talking to her saying that he was capable of doing anything to her and that the situation was dangerous" he explained.
"Got it! JY industries? Why is she trapped in in that building?" Taehyun looked at his best friend in confusion. "I should've gussed" Huening Kai mumbled. "Namjoon hyung get the team ready, there's a case of kidnapping" Taehyun yelled and in no time some men rushed outside as Huening Kai and Taehyun followed them.
Two men sat at the front while Huening Kai and Taehyun along with another guy from their team sat at the back seat of the car. "Wait why are you here?" Taehyun asked his friend. "Uh...I don't know...just wanted to accompany you" Huening Kai said hesitantly. "Whatever, just don't casuse any trouble" Taehyun glared at him. "Yes sir" he replied. Two more men followed them in another car.
"Wait a minute is she just a client? I mean you're acring strange. What exactly is your relationship with the girl?" Taehyun asked as his doe eyes looked at his friend. "I...I'll explain it to you later" Huening Kai replied which made Taehyun smirk at his reaction. "Anyways, give me description of the girl so it'll be easy to identify her" Taehyun added.
"She's really pretty but stubborn and has a cute nose-" he paused as he realised what he just said and Taehyun gave him a cringed look "I asked you to describe her features not to complement her" he said smacking Huening Kai's head. "Y-yes her name is Moon Eunha, she's 21 years old, she is kinda short, has black hair and...yeah that's it...maybe" Huening Kai chuckled nervously. "Alright" said Taehyun.
Eunha tried her best to open the ropes but the knots were too tight. The surroundings were dark which added to her fear. "Mom must be so worried" she mumbled.
The sun was about to set. The police car stopped near the entrance of the building where Eunha was trapped. They rushed inside. "Taehyun, you go with your friend and meet the boss, we'll look for the girl" said Namjoon, his co-worker. "Yes hyung" Taehyun replied. "Where's your boss?" Taehyun asked showing his ID card to the receptionist. "P-police? Let me talk t-to Mr. Park first" the receptionist nervously replied. "We don't have time to waste here" Taehyun said as he banged his fist on the desk. "T-tenth floor"
The two guys made their way to the tenth floor.
