The Talk

After buying some clothes and bags at Valerie's boutique, we decided to order a frappe at Frappe Alley on the ground floor. Good thing, there's a six vacant chair here at Frappe Alley. It is located beside the escalator. I can assure you that they make a delicious frappe. This stall became famous because of it.
Their best seller is the Pistachio Creme Frappuccino that has cherry on top. Masasabi ko na masarap talaga ito dahil binabalik-balikan namin. Hindi ito nakakasawa. We then seated on a vacant chairs and a waiter attended us to get our orders.
"As usual, 6 Pistachio Creme Frappuccino, large," si Suzy ang nagsalita na ikinatango naman ng waiter. Pagkatapos ay nagpaalam ito sa amin at tinungo na ang counter. Kapag pumupunta kasi kami rito ay palaging iyon ang ino-order namin.
"So," panimula ni Tasia kaya napatingin kami sa kaniya. Nang-aasar na tumingin sa akin si Tasia.
"Who's good in bed?" Tanong ni Tasia na ikinatawa nila. Grabeh, hindi pa siya nakaka-move on. Kanina pa 'yan. I mean, they're are both good.
"Tasia, no comment. Stop it," iyon na lang ang nasabi ko na ikinahagikgik niya. Grabeh, ang saya nila.
"Ang cute mo talagang asarin," maya-maya ay dagdag pa ni Lia na ikinabuntong-hininga ko lang.
"So ano na ang plano mo, Evie? Starting today, you'll going to live with him in the same roof," Valerie asked curiously. Right, what's my plan? I mean, I don't have any concrete plan. Maybe, I should avoid him? But why would I avoid him?
"I don't know, Val. I'll just go with the flow. I will avoid him as I can," I retorted that made them nodded. Maya-maya ay dumating na ang order namin. We opened our bag and reach for our wallet. We gave a 200 pesos each. 196 pesos ang presyo ng large na frappe. We told the waiter that he should keep the change.
Napangiti at nagpasalamat naman ang waiter sa amin bago kami iniwan. Binalik ko ang wallet sa bag ko at sinara na ito. I then reached for my frappe and took a sipped on it.
"I'm curious, Evie. Wala ka bang nararamdaman sa asawa mo? I mean, you guys are together for almost 15 years now," Haven abruptly started a conversation. Napatigil ako sa pagsipsip dahil sa tanong niya at napaisip. Hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi ko kayang mahalin si Soren.
He's an ideal, a husband material to be exact. Well, when we first met, he made my heart beat. That's all. After that, I don't have any interest with him. I don't know why but we tried to make it work but we failed.
"I don't know too, Haven. I admit that he made my heart beat when we first met but that's all. Hindi ko siya kayang mahalin. We only care for each other and treat as brother and sister," I replied that made her nodded. I just heaved a sighed and took a sipped to my frappe again.
"Maybe, you're not meant together. Baka may nilaan ang Diyos para sa inyo. Masama at tahimik ang pagsasama niyo pero no'ng dumating sila Rachel at Rhys, ayan, biglang gumulo ang mundo niyo," komento ni Suzy bago sumipsip sa frappe niya. Well, she has a point. Siguro ay pinagtagpo lang kami at hindi tinadhana.
"Suzy has a point. Look, she was once married to Adonis but their marriage life didn't work. Look at them now, they're both happy with their love ones. Suzy had Laz and Adonis had his wife. They met but they're not destined. Baka gano'n din kayo ni Soren," Tasia blurted out and placed her frappe on the table that made us nodded.
Tama, akala namin ay sila na talaga ni Adonis hanggang dulo pero nagkamali kami. May mga tao na nakatadhana sa kanila. Sino kaya ang nakatadhana sa amin ni Soren? I admit na naniniwala ako sa destiny. As they quoted, some things are just never meant to be, no matter how we wish they were.
