Chapter 14:

Piper (Alex)'s P.O.V:

Great. Just effing great. I had woken up on the wrong side of the bed obviously.

I just wanted to go home. Back to London. Not start over at this new school "Pennsylvania High."

I got dressed in a tshirt and mini jean shorts, and a pair of red Vans. Skrew trying to impress anyone.

I put on some make up and untyed my hair from the bun on top of my head, releasing dark curls. I picked out my favourite lipstick and hurriedly applied then ran down the steps and into the kitchen.

"Good morning Ally," my mum wait a... "Piper! Sorry I've been watching too much of the wire!"

I gave her a suspicious look and grabbed a granola bar from the pantree.

Unexcused suspicious name calling/weird behavoir? check.

Confused as hell? Triple check.

I knew dad was still asleep and I didn't bother to wake him up. Instead I grabbed my new school bag and said farewell to my mum.

As I marched out the glass door to my new house I was greeted with frigid northeastern air. The grass had been reduced to brown shavings and had been smothered in snow.

My midnight blue Cadillac had been suffering the weight of the snow coating it and I brushed some off as I unlocked the doors.

Oh crap!

I hurriedly ran into the open 2car garage and grabbed the garbage can cemented with moving boxes.

I dragged it to the end of the driveway and- SH*T!

"I'm so sorry." a voice above me said. I was on the ground and the boxes were all over the icy driveway. "Here let me help you with that."

I noticed his accent immediately. A British guy! I looked his way and become locked in a hazy gaze. My eyes scoped out his features.

He had a perfect build. Muscular. His black shirt fit well. Yet comfortably. His black hair was styled a little like a ski-lift in the front and he held an old and worn skateboard in his left hand. Balancing it on his left knee.

I looked away quickly and he stooped down and helped me clean up the boxes. "Thanks." I said gratefully to him.

Talk about a bad case of de-javu. "Well I best be going," Dang it Piper. Way to be an awko taco.

"Oh yeah me too," he said just as awkwardly. He looked up an met my eyes as if he knew me then walked away with a sad look on his face.

Weirrddoooo....

I hopped into my car and made my way down the road to the school my mum had driven me to many times before.

I pulled into the student parking lot and stepped onto the blacktop then locked my car.

I walked quickly on the wide sidewalk then the shallow stairs leading to the front of the stone, cold-looking building.

I reached out to grab the handle of the glass front doors but something caught my eye.

I looked up at my reflection then noticed someone-or someones-behind it. I met the gazes of all the other highschoolers gaping and staring at me. What the hell?
