I CAN HONESTLY SAY I THINK THE NEW BOOK WILL BE EVEN BETTER THAN THESE TWO. IT'S CALLED "BEAUTIFUL NIGHTMARE" AND I REALLY HOPE YOU LOVE IT. ESPECIALLY THIS CHAPTER. THIS CHAPTER IS DEDICATED TO ALL OF MY TRUE FANS AND ALL OF MY INSPIRATION. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE. #CORNY BUT WHO CARES? LOL THANK YOU AND ENJOY! Inspirational song? Probably Skinny Love by Bon Iver, it describes the "love" kind of mood. Or Ride by Lana Del Rey.

Chapter 21:

ALEX'S P.O.V:

"Shhh," he whispered to me putting his free hand's pointer finger to his lips.

"What's going on Drake?" I asked groggily.

He took my hand, leading me down the granite steps.

"Are you hungry?" He asked me with a pearly white smirk.

"Always," I said with dramatic humor.

He led me towards the kitchen, our footsteps gliding on the glass tiles below us. "What do you want?" He asked me, sitting me on a bar stool at the counter and opening the fridge.

"You decide," I responded, I was too out of it to say what I really wanted. Ice cream. It helps me in my times of confusion.

Minutes later the counter was littered with cookies and ice cream and toppings galore. "Are you serious?" I asked him in my sleep-induced delusion.

"As serious as a death," he said with a smile, looking me in the eyes, "Dig in." He said scooping vanilla ice cream into a dish.

"Some deaths aren't so serious," I said, piling gummy bears and chocolate syrup onto my ice cream.

I finished loading on a billion more toppings as he replied, "What do you mean?"

His emerald eyes bore into mine.

"Well," I said pausing to take a bite of the strawberry ice cream, "take my Grandmother for instance, she died. And did I give a shit? Not one."

"Alex don't say that," he said chowing down on the chocolate ice cream.

"It's true, and there's no way of avoiding the truth," I said with all my sleepy honesty played out on my face.

DRAKE'S P.O.V:

"The deed shall be done today," Hansel's voice stung the damp air like venom.

"Are you sure there isn't another way for us to get rid of her? Can't we just banish her and send her back to her friends or -" I tried to reason with him only to be rudely cut off.

"Do you want your throat to be slit right here on the spot and I could send someone to give her a long and sufferable death unlike the one you have to offer," he spoke with a dead serious expression.

I felt my muscles tense, either way was not justice.

"No, I'll do it," I said sliding the deister blade carefully into it's holster with hesitance.

I turned my back to him and stood still for a few moments. He sat behind me on a chair with his desk in the dark and damp office-like thing.

I quickly started moving my feet, even though it was hard not to turn around and slap him in the face and tell him not to do this to... to.. this girl.

It's not that I have feelings for her. Do I? No, I can't. It's just not possible.

I can't love a slaughter victim that I was about to murder. But it's true.
