CHAPTER 12:
Erin's P.O.V.
I was sort of excited. Kind of a bad thing to be... but truthfully I was really excited. The adrenaline was coursing through my veins when I realised there was a way we could bring her back.
They met us at the castle in the middle of the night. We had arrived in a carriage, the back holding her broken coffin. We didn't know how it broke though. Maybe rabbits, that's what Nick suspected.
I think we all were a little scared. We had never told her the truth about anything. Now she was the pure-blood. We never told her about her parents though. Nothing.
How she was supposed to save this realm. This suckish place. If we told her there were places beyond these snowy woods she would go. She's journeyed out of the Winter Realm before. She's gone to the edge.
With the fields and brooks. There's been so much going on since she died. It's been two months almost. It's almost Christmas.
We found Tebi dead. With that, we found out Hope and Shiloh had been her spies. They had been banished to the dungeons below.
They greeted us and told us to sit.
It was a huge room. It had couches of plenty along with a grand marble fireplace burning bright and cracking like a whip. I held her red cloak in my hands.
It had been so long since I was informed that it protects you. I don't think she was wearing it when she died. I just know she was buried in it.
The room was silent. Until they, the King and Queen of the Realms finally spoke. "So... what does our daughter look like?" They asked.
Nick started going on and on about how beautiful she was, and how her was a dark red now. Not blonde as it used to be. How her eyes were still an unnatural shade of deep purple and how she was so different than others.
But then Erik and Bo spoke up about how she was no longer immortal and her barrier of life had been broken and destroyed.
Justin was playing with his thumbs it was obvious he was hurt by this.
The conversation ended sort of soon after. We were all a little shook up. I mean, we all have been. Who would have ever imagined that poor Alex would have been killed.
"There is a way to reverse it though..." Her mother spoke up. I remember the tale of them told to me when I was a child.
They had supposedly been killed protecting her. But the power of their love for her brought them back.
"But she has to find her other. There's a man out there. He has a bond with her. She being on the light side, he being on the dark side," her mother said. Her words struck through the quiet air like a knife.
"She can still be with you Nick," he looked up suddenly feeling better,"But she won't have any recollection of us."
The room grew silent again.
"He's looking for her already."
