"What are you doing here?" I ask incredulously.
"Sophia is my friend, but I don't see why you are here." She glares.
"I am Aiden's friend." I say glaring back.
"Yea, he's my friend. His name is barbie. " Aiden tells her, jumping with excitement.
I was a little smug when the little guy defended me but then his words registered.
Avyanna burst out laughing so hard she had to clutch her stomach. My cheeks heated and I glared at her.
"Wow Aiden you named him barbie?" she asked between touches of laughter.
"Yea, he plays v' me and Barbies." Aiden giggled.
"I do not. That was just one time! And you forced me to do it." I said defensively.
"Yea yea let's play! Come on!" Aiden grabbed my hand and with other, Avyanna's then started dragging us to his room Sophia tailing behind us.
When we reached the room he made us sit on the bed and we awkwardly sat beside each other still leaving some good distance between us.
"Let's draw first." He says excitedly while grabbing his art supplies. My eyes widen and I pray he doesn't say-
"Av-anna, Barbie draws so pretty. You must see him-"
"Alright, let's see your drawing, big guy." I cut him off quickly and try to divert the topic.
It works a little. A little because Avyanna saw through my subtle change of topic. But who cares.
We played, but it was obviously awkward between me and her. Aiden played excitedly through hours oblivious to the tension.
"I hungry." Aiden pouts putting down his drawing. He was drawing some kind of dinosaur, which looked like this-

"Let's get you something to eat then." She says and gets up from the bed. Her own drawing falling from her lap to the bed.

"Come on Barbie." She says to me looking behind her shoulder.
I groan. Making her and Aiden chuckle. My own drawing which was just a blank paper falls on the bed.
We walk downstairs and see Sophia and- what was his name- A-
"When did you arrive Alex?" Avyanna says walking towards her brother and Sophia in the kitchen.
"I came 2 hours ago. Where were y-?" He stops when his eyes meet mine and all the eyes turn to me.
"Um Hey, I am Brennon, we never officially met." I say shaking his hand gently.
"H-hey I am Alex." He smiles and I see their resemblance. He smiles almost like her but Avyanna has a slight dimple on her left cheek.
"I-I wanted to apologize, Alex, for that day."
"It's alright." He says awkwardly.
I nod and turn to Sophia, "I should get going."
"Y-you can stay we were just about to watch a movie." Alex says before I can walk out.
Avyanna subtly looks at her brother and he shrugs a little. My eyes go to Sophia and she nods at me.
"No guys it's okay, I was just heading home you guys enjoy."
"No Barbie c'mon pwease." Aiden pouts and Alex laughs at this.
"Stop calling me that." I groan.
"Only if you stay. I pwromise." He grins.
I sigh.

"That movie was sooo good!" Aiden exclaims.
"It would've been if you hadn't interrupted in every two minutes." Sophia rolls her eyes.
We all chuckle while Aiden pouts, "I was cusious!"
He means curious.
I chuckle and look at my wristwatch, it was 5 p.m. "Alright guys this was nice, but I really need to roll now. I'll see you all around." I say nodding at them, my eyes stay on Avyanna, she was doing something on her phone and absentmindedly nodded.
"Why don't we all make plans for the bowling?" I ask before I could stop myself.
That gets Avyanna's interest, Alex nods slowly with a smile, and Sophia nods too. "I'll ask Logan too, you're friends right?" Sophia says.
"Uh-Sure." There goes my fucking plan.
"Okay then text me the details." I say as we all exchange numbers.

"So you watched a movie with Avyanna?" Levi shakes his head.
"Technically we all watched a movie together." I point out.
"And I stayed because of Aiden. Also, I don't see how that part is bad it is actually good for my plan I need to get close to her." I say matter of factly.
"Whatever man just reminding you that I never approved this plan of yours." Levi kicks back the ball to the team. We were sitting at the side benches watching the rest of the team play.
"So, did you talk to Sophia too?" He asks looking absentmindedly at the team.
"Uh-yeah. Why- Holy fuck you like her!" His hand closes on my mouth.
"Shh. And N-no I don't." He says removing his hand a small blush coating his cheeks.
"And now you're blushing." I cackle.
"Fuck I hate you." He groans.
"What's up guys?" Aron asks jogging towards us, trying to catch his breath.
"Nothing, and your form was bad today." I say trying to change the topic. If Levi wants he'll tell him himself, anyway it wasn't my place.
"Fuck you! My legs are about to fall off, if that wasn't good enough then I don't know what will be." He pants taking a seat next to me.
I chuckle.
"Alright, boys!" I yell getting the team's attention. "That's enough for today. We'll continue tomorrow."
After taking shower we all head home. My house was 10 minutes away from the school so I had ridden my bike. I unmount my bike, and my eyes automatically find their way towards Aiden's house. It was on the opposite side of ours.
Did she leave?
I guess she did.
I take my phone out and before I can stop myself I message her.
