"Okay, Av, we're not ignoring this anymore." Alex said.

We were currently sitting on our couch watching a movie. Sighing I paused the movie.

"Okay. Talk." I said.

He sighed, "Av, you can't go around beating everyone who says something mean to me"

Oh, you can bet your ass, I will. I smirked.

"No. I am not betting my ass." he glared.

My eyes widened. Is he a mind reader now?

"No. But I know how you think and that smirk on your face confirmed it." he said rolling his eyes.

I pouted. "How can you expect me to not say or do something Alex, today that asshole was about to hit you or probably beat you. And you expect me to do nothing and just silently watch it happen?

Sorry, brother. Not gonna happen." I glared at the remote in my hand.

He suddenly snatched it and chuckled "Leave the remote alone. He won't be able to take your wrath."

I rolled my eyes.

He sighed and took both of my hands in his. "Hey. Look at me. Listen, I don't want to be a burden on you. I am a guy for christ's sake. I should've been the one to protect you, to help you, to kick those asshole's ass. Instead, I am just sitting on the side like a loser while watching my sister fight for me. I am sorry." his eyes filled with some unshed tears.

"Now you listen to me. You're my only family, and I would happily die while protecting you.

And not being able to fight does not make you a loser. And who said you do not protect me? Or help me? Most importantly who the fuck said you're a burden?

Because whatever happened in our lives till now. Whatever I've gone through, I swear I wouldn't have been here sitting and talking to you right now if it wasn't for you.

You help me stand when I am down. You're my strength, Alex. And I wouldn't trade you even for my chocolate fudge brownie ice cream." I smiled.

He chuckled still in tears.

"Oh, and trust me I will 'go around beating everyone who says something mean to you," I said quoting his line.

He shook his head while rolling his eyes a small smile still playing on his lips. He wrapped his arms around me and whispered "but maybe I will trade you for my mint chocolate chip."

I pushed him away while playfully smacking his hands away and stuck out my tongue when he laughed.

But I was smiling too.

We've already eaten dinner so after finishing the movie we headed to our rooms.

I changed my clothes for some sweatpants. While laying in bed my mind wandered to the events of today.

And then that Asshole's face popped in my head. I smirked while remembering his swollen face.

I had briefly looked at his face when I first punched him in the face, when it wasn't swollen or beaten.

It's a shame a pretty face was wasted on such an asshole.

I rolled my eyes, after the incident in the cafeteria, the rest of the day went without hitch. We both attended classes and then we were off to go home.

I haven't come across any queen bees, and I hope it stays that way, it's for there own good.

And at last, I hope those assholes stay away from Alex. Or so god help me. My eyes fluttered close, and I was out like a light.
