I probably would've said Brennon is cute— if only he wasn't such an asshole.

See, I don't care how hot, cool, handsome you are, if you've got a shitty personality then you're done, that's the end right there.

That's exactly what I said yesterday to Alex when we reached home. Apparently he saw us getting "hot" on the dance floor. Which was not really true. So I told him what happened. Which is that I was a little drunk and didn't know what I was doing.

"If you didn't then you wouldn't have turned down the other boys." Asshole.

Right now we were in the corridor of our school, we were a little early so I made the choice to accompany Alex to his class until it was time for my own lecture.

As we were passing by a throat cleared behind us making us turn around.

"Uh- A- Mr. Chase can I talk to you for a minute." My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I looked up at the teacher. I barged in his class the first day when I was dropping Alex to his class. Mr. Felix was it?

I looked at Alex and saw him looking as confused as me, "O-of course." He turned to me and gave me a reassuring smile, "I'll meet you in 5."

I slowly nodded and looked back at Mr. Felix. He was avoiding eye contact and I was very fucking suspicious. He looked at me for a split second and his cheeks flushed, he cleared his throat and said in a teacher's tone, "I want to talk about the syllabus he missed before he took admission at this school."

My mouth formed a small o while nodding.

"Kay, see ya." I say turning to Alex.

As I walk towards my class I hear my name being yelled, I turn around and see Sophia speed walking over to me. I chuckle and give her a short hug in a way of greeting. My class was in the room next to Sophia's, so she decided to spend the remaining time with me in my class till her lecture started.

"So, Avyanna, what do you think about going to the fair this Friday?" She asks placing her books on the table as I do the same and sit next to her.

"There's a fair?" I ask trying to contain my excitement. I love amusement rides.

She sees that in my face and chuckles shaking her head. "Friday it is then."

I grin already excited.

"Okay, so has anyone caught your eyes here yet?" she asks raising an eyebrow.

Running my finger on the cover of my English book I mirror the letters while answering, "Meh, they're not my type."

"Then who is your type?" I looked at Sophia when her voice turned to a male's. She looked boredly behind me making me turn, my eyes falling on Brennan who was lazily standing against the door, arms crossed with a curious expression on his face with his friend Aron.

"I don't know but definitely not the ones who eavesdrop." I answer rolling my eyes and turning back to Sophia.

"Hey, not my fault you both were talking loudly." He replies like that is totally fine, making me roll my eyes again.

"You don't expect us to message when we're sitting right in front of each other, do you?"

"Well if your private talks are that private then by all means." He gestures a 'go ahead' while smirking.

I roll my eyes again.

"I swear someday my eyes will fall on the floor, if my ears keep listening to your bullshit." I say facing Sophia, who was chuckling.

Before he could say anything the bell rang indicating the end of lunch.

Sophia pouted at me as she started picking up her books. "I'll meet you after this lecture." She then leaned down and whispered, "I hope you survive this period." I chuckle shaking my head.
