Everyone was scattered here somewhere, Sophia was sitting at the couch in a corner with Alex and Logan was- I think he said he's going to the washroom, so I was sitting alone at the bar.
My eyes were fixed on her like a magnet from the second we walked in.
My fingers tighten around the whiskey glass automatically, this fucking guy is begging to get his ass beaten.
His hands move to her waist and I couldn't control any more, I fist my hand and make my way to the dance floor. Avyanna was dancing and this was the 5th guy she turned down but unlike the others he was not taking no as an answer.
I don't know what the reason was maybe she didn't want to create a scene so she was politely but firmly telling him No.
I roughly push him away from her making him stumble. The music stops and everyone near us gets out of our way thinking of a burning fight about to start,
-and I swear to god I wanted nothing more than just that.
"What the fuck dude-"
"She said no. Stay the fuck away from her." I growl getting in his face.
He puts up him hands in surrender and leaves the dance floor.
I turn to look at Avyanna but she was already looking at me a little confused. I must look like a psycho.
After a few seconds the music starts again. "I didn't take you to be a gentleman." She says raising her eyebrows a bit.
"There was nothing gentlemanly about it. Just basic human decency."
If anything she looked even more confused.
"Dance with me?" I ask.
She narrows her eyes at me but a little smile grows on her lips. "Only because I am drunk."
She puts her hand on my neck, creating goosebumps on my skin and my hands automatically moves towards her waist lightly hovering over, still not touching her fully.
Our eyes stay on each other and it was like everything else disappeared. Her hands untangle from my neck as she grabs my hands and gently puts them on her waist.
I swear my heart jumped in my chest. The fact that she's comfortable with me.
We sway slowly. And it takes me back to the night of the party. Our close proximity made my heart beat faster.
Which was ridiculous.
"Why did you leave that night?" I ask the question which was bugging me since that night.
"Something important came up." She lies easily, and I think anyone else would've believed her, but I knew better. Still I decided not to push it further.
I don't know how long we swayed maybe it was hours or maybe just a few minutes and honestly I didn't care. I was lost in her eyes, in her.
I always found it funny when people said, eyes can be a mirror to ones self but at that moment it didn't feel funny at all.
Her eyes were so dark, like when you're looking from the tip of the hill to the deep dark bottom, an abyss that seems to have no bottom, where you get the intrusive thought of what if I jump, even when you know there's nothing but death waiting for you. Her eyes were perfectly described that, they were beautifully dangerous and not even for a second did they stray away from mine.
A woman who can hold eye contact. Is there anything in her that doesn't turn me on?
Her jet black hair fell in loose curls just above her ass, grazing my fingers lightly with each sway. It was ticklish. Sweat beads on her forehead, a little coating on her skin causing it gleam in the dj lights.
