Empty.
Void
Blank
Bare
Numb
For a second
That was all that they felt
The Broken Warrior and the Fallen Paladin
Then all at once
The air plunged into their lungs
Making it difficult to breath
Confusion
Anger
Pain
Shock
All coursed through their veins
They looked at the witch
Not believing her words
No-
They could not be heroes
They were fallen and broken
They could not be destined for something that great
But then again-
The prophecy did say the destined ones
Were indeed broken and fallen
The witch dismissed their denial
The time is running out
We must hurry
Come along Children,
I shall teach you
You both are destined for immense power
And you must know how to control them
And if you fail at controlling,
I am afraid it will destroy you if you don't tame it
And so the training began
It went on for seven days and seven nights
It went all day long
It lasted all night long
Tired to the bone
Were the fighters
They were rising from the ruins
They mastered their powers
They put their heart in
They showed their pain
When they worked twice as hard as they worked the day before
Never once stopping
The weapons in their hand never once dropping.
They worked and worked
But unknown to them
Known to the witch
Was the sorcerer of Nakane
As he wandered all around
In search of the destined ones
In search of the legendary heroes
The time for them to strike has arrived.
