I am me

I am so pure

And I am impure

I am no saint

I am no devil

I am heartfelt

And heartless

I am a leader

And I always fall behind

I am no sinner

But I'm not always kind

And If I started to listen

To all the voices telling me

Where to go, who to be

I would surely go crazy

Cause

I am a lion

I am the lamb

I am smart

And I never understand

I am a spirit

I am body

I hold secrets

But they know everything

I am a warrior

I am a coward

I hold the sword

I hold the shield

I run away

I always yield

I am the beauty

I am the beast

I am irresistible

I scare everyone I meet

I am, I am me

I am so calm

I am a nervous wreck

I know the difference

I just haven't found it yet

They say to let go

They act like it is easy

But I am learning

To put it all beneath me

I am a wolf

I am the sheep

I am bright

I am half asleep

I am perfectly

Full of imperfections

I am the actress

I am the hermit

I am the laughter

I am the tears

I count the seconds

I count the years

I dream in colour

I think in grey

I am lovely

I am ordinary

I am in control

I am weak

I am, I am me

There is no rhyme

There is no reason

I am sperratic

I am uneven

I am lost

But I am finding

Little parts of me

As the road is unwinding

I will not bend

I will not waver

I will make a stand

Because I am a believer

I will not cry

My eyes are dry

I will not fall

I don't have the time

Cause I am a lion

I am a wolf

I am smart

I am bright

I am spirit

I am perfectly imperfect

I am a warrior

I am an actress

I hold the sword

I love to laugh

I am beauty

I am in control

I am irresistible

To those that I meet

I am the bad things

But I am the good

I won't do something

Just because I'm told I should

Cause I am the lion

Though I am the sheep

There is no changing

Because I am, I am me
