Passed Pretend

Theres just something different about the way he smiles

He seems to touch your heart with just his eyes

And you've never been so light on your feet

As you are when he walks by

When your mind starts to wander, its him it finds

And when you feel afraid, you want him by your side

You can't quite understand why he makes you

Feel like things couldnt be more right

But what if it ends before it starts

What if the fire works go out

Or even just his heart

What if you let him go and you never live to know

If it could have been all you've ever dreamed

Because you were too afraid to believe that this could be real

And you just think maybe he's not what he seems

But you can't live in your make believe

you'll never know if you dont walk passed the dream

And take his hand

You will never realize

All the beauty that could be behind those eyes

If you never get passed pretend

He seems to know what to say

To take all your worries away

To help you up when you fall down

And he will always stay

You think maybe he can read your mind

Maybe you can start to unwind

Maybe he is the one you need

The one your supposed to find

But what if it ends before it starts

What if the fire works go out

Or even just his heart

What if you let yourself get lost in the illusion

let yourself go and then fall to the delusion

Of what was never even real

And you just think maybe he's not what he seems

But you can't live in your make believe

you'll never know if you dont walk passed the dream

And take his hand

You will never realize

All the beauty that could be behind those eyes

If you never get passed pretend

If your so strong hearted, then let it fall

You can still defend it, and give in to it all

Love but dont be afraid

follow your heart not what anyone else may say

Give enough to fall inlove, but don't let yourself shatter

Your beautiful no matter

Who he is

Its ok to be so strong

But strong only lasts so long

Its in us all to fall

To the birds song

But if you give into your doubts

You'll go on living without

Its ok to believe

Every once in a while

leave your what ifs before they start

Let the fireworks fly

Even if they go out

At least you had enough to actually know

If it could have been all you've ever dreamed

Beyond your fear and to something real

Cause really, he is what he always seemed
