" this heavy as fuck Dior, you carry it." Naomi huffed dropping the box back on the ground. Naomi was moving in with her mom, stepdad, and stepbrother for this school year. new home, new friends, new everything.
Naomi and her stepbrother, Dior were close. both of them being top athletes for their sports allowed them to travel with their teams, visiting or seeing each other often. Naomi was close with her mom and dad nonetheless.
Dior Johnson was a top basketball player in his class. Dior attends prolific prep academy. prolific prep is a 5-star prep school in napa california. here he plays alongside and against some of the best basketball players in the country. Bj Boston, Josh Christopher, and Jalen Green just to name a few.
Naomi Miller, one of the best liberos in high school volleyball, has been recognized by many different high school and college teams such as prolific prep. prolific prep has strong athletics and academics programs, naming them one of the best schools in the country. attending prolific prep would skyrocket Naomi's career and allow her to play with some of the finest volleyball players in the country.
" is that the last of the boxes? " Dior asked as he carried the last box up the steps. " yep. im pretty sure. " Naomi replied unpacking her ' shoe ' box. " let me know if you need any help, i have practice soon," he announced as he left to his room. slowly but surely Naomi's room started to come together.

" come on we're going to be late! " Monique, Naomi's mom, yelled through the house. " coming! " Naomi replied grabbing her jacket off of her bed. Dior was going to practice and Naomi was going to meet her team. Naomi wore black ripped jeans, a red Nike hoodie, air force ones, and her hair in newly done box braids. she gave herself one more good look in the mirror before darting to the car.
" are you excited? " Dior smiled as the car pulled out of the driveway. he surely was, reason being he would be living and going to school with his sister. " a mix of excited and nervous at the same time " Naomi replied as her leg bounced up and down.
what if they don't like me? or if i have a bad first impression. do i look okay?
.. many thoughts swarmed through her mind on the way to school.
little did she know, her team already was big fans of her and her game. they all did much research on her and were more than cheerful that she would be joining them this year.
