" do you have anything in particular you wanted to see? " Jalen asked looking down at Naomi . " not really, i know we're gym 2 is. other then that, i need your help. " " i can show you the cafeteria, library, and outside to the fields. "
" this is the cafeteria, one of my favorite parts of the school. " Jalen announced as he opened the cafeteria doors. " you're just allowed to come in here at any time? " Naomi asked confused as to why they were in the cafeteria and not during lunch time.
" of course, you can go anywhere as long as you're not in class. " he replied laughing. Naomi 's old school wasn't nearly as big as this one. Naomi was well known in her hometown. for the most part, lots of her peers grew up together. finding new friends would be hard but, she has already made a few.

" finally my favorite part of the school. " Jalen spoke rubbing his hands together. he had showed Naomi the whole school, as promised, the tour continued outside. here they found the fields , outdoor seating areas, and the outdoor courts.
" you come here often? " Naomi asked looking around. " yea, might be my favorite place to hoop. " he replied smiling. " i spend a lot of my free time here, to release stress and shit. " he spoke grabbing a basketball from the given rack and dribbling it.
" play me 1 on 1. " Naomi smiled, grabbing the ball from Jalen's hands. " man you don't want this work for real. " he laughed. Jalen's phone dinged, indicating that he got a text message.
"the fuck?" he accidentally said out loud. his phone screen read ' who's the girl you're with? '. from Ryan, Jalen's girlfriend .
how does she know what i'm doing?
" everything good? " Naomi asked confused. " yea my fault. " Jalen said putting his phone back in his pocket.
