Chapter 8

Clarke POV

Clarke was at the radio with Octavia, Anya and Lexa in the second level of the dropship.

"Clarke?" It was her mom's voice. "You're alive."

"You are too." Clarke said. "I thought you would have got floated."

"I was planning that for a long time so I was sure I was going to be okay." Her mom said. "How are you alive?"

"I had some help." Clarke said, looking at Lexa and Anya.

"What do you mean?"

"There are people alive down here. They are the reason I'm alive. Two of them are here right now." Clarke said. Anya looked at Lexa's hand that was on her back and smirked.

"Thank you for keeping her alive." Her mom said. "Is there a leader we can talk to?"

"That's me." Anya said.

"Shut up, no one wants to talk to your dumbass." Lexa said.

"I am the leader of Trikru."

"I am Trikru and the Commander so I am."

"Clarke." Anya said. "Who is the leader? Keep in mind I train you." Clarke handed the radio to Lexa.

"I'll get you out of training." Lexa said. "How do I use this?"

"Press the button to talk and when you are done let it go." Octavia said.

"Oh so you don't hold the button to mute." Clarke laughed. Lexa let go off the button.

"Training?" Her mom asked.

Clarke put her hand on Lexa's and pressed the button. "Uh, I'll tell you later, let's talk about what you wanted to talk about." Clarke said. Clarke let go of Lexa's hand.

"Are you open for a meeting with the council? It won't be much but it'll just be some like grond rules. When we get to the ground, we can make more of a peace treaty or more if that's what we agree on." Her mom said.

"I'd be willing to do that." Lexa said, looking at her.

"You teach us how to survive on the ground and we can give something in return."

"We can work on that when you get down here."

"I'll call a meeting and we can meet back here in like half an hour?" Her mom asked.

"Yes." Lexa said.

Clarke put her hand on Lexa's and hit the button. "Mom, is dad okay?"

"Yeah, I'll ask him to stay after the meeting for you guys to talk." Her mom said.

"Okay." Clarke said.

"I'll talk to you later."

The radio went silent and Lexa put the mircophone part down.

"Are they you know?" Octavia asked Anya.

"I wish." Anya said. "Princess has a crush though."

"No I don't!" Clarke protested. "You are making up stuff!"

"You so do." Octavia said.

"What are we talking about?" Lexa asked.

"Clarke, you have extra training for not giving me the radio." Anya said.

"She'll train with me tomorrow." Lexa said.

"Okay." Anya said.

"I don't know if I should be more scared or not." Clarke said.
