Clarke POV
It was about an hour later when the door opened. Clarke sat up and looked at the door. Her mom stepped in and shut the door quietly. Clarke got off her bed and hugged her mom, almost knocking her over. Her mom wrapped her arms around her.
"Clarke, we have to be quick about this." Her mom said, pulling away. Her mom cupped her face. "I'm assuming Octavia filled you in?"
"Yep." Octavia said, from the top bunk. "The floating age is sixteen, you and I have been meeting, she is going to the ground, yeah I think that is everything."
"Okay, good." Her mom said. "Your dad couldn't come. I could only get in here because I have to check for the flu and stuff." Clarke nodded. "Thank you Octavia."
"No problem." Octavia said, sitting up on her elbows.
"Come on." Her mom said.
"Maybe I'll see you down there one day, Clarke." Octavia said. "May we meet again."
"May we meet again." Clarke said, before leaving.
Clarke and her mom walked through the Skybox. Clarke kept her head down and pretended like she belonged. "This way." Her mom turned a corner and unlocked the door. Clarke followed after her mom.
They stuck to hallways that were bearly used, which made the trip a little longer but finally they slowed to a stop. Her mom pressed the button on a small box on the side of the door. "Raven, open up." Her mom said into the box.
The door opened and they slipped in. Her mom shut and locked the door. There was a drop pod in the middle of the room.
"Okay, everything is good to go. I just triple checked everything." A girl with tan skin and brown hair said, coming out behind the pod. "No one should be exploding today."
"Thanks Raven." Her mom said.
"No problem." Raven said, cleaning her hands off with a rag. "Ready Blondie?"
"As ready as I'll ever be." Clarke said, looking at the pod.
"Raven will run you through what you have to do." Her mom said.
Clarke walked over to the pod and Raven gave her a quick rundown of what to do. "I also put numbers on the button and switches, in case you forget." Raven said, pointing at the buttons.
"We are running out of time." Her mom said, walking over. "Clarke." Her mom reached into her pocket and pulled out a sliver watch. "Your dad wanted me to give this to you." Her mom handed her the watch. "There is a bag with rations and water, it should last you about a week. There is also a notebook, it's your dads, he drew things you can eat, how to make a fire, how to make a knot, and other stuff like that."
"We can't give you a radio because of if we are getting a radio call from outside of the Ark, things could turn to panic and someone could get arrested." Raven said, doing stuff in the drop pod.
Her mom hugged her. "I love you." Her mom said, as Clarke put her arms around her.
"I love you too." Clarke said.
Her mom pulled away and cupped her face. "Abby we got a problem." Raven said, looking at a computer. "If we are going to do this we have to do it now. Guards are coming."
Her mom kissed her forehead and Clarke got ready to leave. Clarke put her dad's watch on and got strapped into the pod. Raven shut the door as her mom wiped a tear away. Raven walked away and a countdown started.
"3." Clarke went over everything Raven told her in her head. "2." She took a deep breath. "1." Clarke got ready for the fall. "Ready for launch." Clarke got shot out of the Ark and into space.
Clarke did everything Raven told her to do as she fell towards earth. Clarke looked out the window. She saw the Ark floating in space and slowly getting smaller. Clarke looked out the other side. She saw the earth getting bigger and closer.
A few moments later, Clarke stopped and started to spin around the earth. Clarke put her hand on the lever. "Don't let me blow up." Clarke said and then pulled it. She got flung towards earth.
Everything started to shake and things started to flash. "Oh fuck me." Clarke said, looking around. "Don't die please."
Clarke got closer to the earth and started to make out shapes. Forests, lakes, and stuff like that. There was a huge jolt and everything started to shake. She got flung foward and hit her head as the pod shook. "Okay, everything is fine, that was the parachute, Clarke." Things started to go fuzzy and she felt herself start to lose focus.
She forced herself to stay awake. "Awake, stay awake." Clarke told herself. She felt blood start to drip from her forehead. Clarke looked out the window. Everything was a mix of blue and green.
Everything shook and then everything stopped. Clarke releazlied she stopped falling and was on the ground.
The last thing she remembered before passing out was that she was on the ground.—————————————————————————-
