"So not only are you a sloppy archer but also forgot your way while chasing a deer?" Toru asked while walking besides Yoshikawa through the forest.
"It hits really hard if you put it like that, Toru," she answered while chewing.
"Anyways, besides that, mind telling me why are you eating those leaves?" Toru asked with a disgusted expression on his face.
"These?" she asked, gulping as she held up the rest of leaves in her hands, "What else should I eat? There ain't any animals around and I'm not anywhere near shooting a bird so I have to stay alive somehow," she said before eating the rest in one go, "And I can survive a month on just leaves so this is nothing," she said before smiling at him.
"So why don't you get your pa or someone else to teach you shooting?"
"My pa's a cripple so he could never go on hunt. The tribe people say my ma also left him because of his disability. He works as a caretaker for the tribe leader's horses and barely earns enough to feed us two. But ever since he started getting sick, the tribe leader fired him," she said as she picked a branch from the ground, mouthing 'this is a good branch' as she examined it while continuing, "Since then, I bring whatever I can find for us two to eat. And even though the tribe people go on group hunts, they don't share with pa and me," Yoshikawa said.
"Oh... I'm sorry about that," Toru said with a sad face.
Throwing away the branch, she asked, "Why are you sorry?" and with that, she ran and hung from a branch, jumping down before looking back at Toru and smiling widely, "I love hunting and going around in the forest."
"Even though you suck at it?" Toru said, a smirk on his face.
"Come on, don't tease me about it," she said as she pouted, hitting Toru's left arm lightly.

Yoshikawa and Toru kept walking nonstop until sun had almost set.
"Say, Toru, shouldn't we stop and rest? We're not gonna find my tribe in a day anyway," Yoshikawa said, dragging her feet.
"Let's just walk for a bit longer," Toru said as he walked in front, making way through the trees' branches and low bushes.
"Only for a bit longer then," she answered as she kept following him, not having the energy to ask if he was keeping his cool to hide the fact that he had no idea about the way.
But Toru indeed knew the way.
After half an hours walk with a verge on tears Yoshikawa, they finally heard the familiar song the tribe folks' sung at dinner.
Forgetting about her fatigue, Yuki ran forward in excitement before climbing up a tree and standing on the branch as she gasped, "Woah! Toru, we made it!" she exclaimed, looking down at Toru.
