The clock ticked 2AM.
The Miyamura household living room was as cramped as never before with 8 soundly sleeping people.
But were they really asleep?
No.
Sengoku was the first one who opened his eyes and looked around before slowly and quietly sitting up.
Following him was Hori, then Sakura, Yanagi, Toru and Remi.
Was Yoshikawa really asleep?
Yes. She was sleeping soundly despite of the plan they had made earlier.
Sengoku sighed as he signalled Toru to wake her up, before turning his head towards Hori who showed him a thumbs up.
The signal 'thumbs up' indicated that Miyamura was sleeping like a log.
Everyone heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing her signal.
Toru leaned in towards Yuki's ear before yelling in whisper, "Wake up, Yuki!"
Yuki woke up in a panic, "Sorry for breaking your favorite gaming console, Toru!"
"Wait, you were the one who broke it?" Toru asked.
Yuki avoided his gaze, "What might you be talking about, I wonder?"
"Stop fooling around you two and come over here," Sengoku said as the rest were already seated around the table.
Yuki and Toru nodded before getting settled down beside the others.
Hori cleared her throat, "I'm pretty sure you're all aware of the reason we're holding a meeting in secret."
Remi raised her hand.
"What is it, Remi-Remi?" Hori asked.
"By secret, are you referring to..." she said as she pointed at Miyamura, "How we're just casually sitting beside dad?"
"That's the least of our concern, Remi. Once he's asleep, Miyamura is really difficult to wake up," Hori answered, "Very difficult."
"Like legendary level difficulty?" Toru asked.
"Yes. And no puns anymore, Toru," Hori said, glaring at him.
"Okay. I apologize." Toru answered.
"Anyways, I'll get right to the point," Hori said as she clenched her fists which were placed on her thighs, "Miyamura's condition is dire."
Everyone nodded their heads.
"Up till now, we were completely depending on Shindou to find a cure or a temporary solution. But..."
"But what?" Sakura asked.
Toru cleared his throat, "Allow me to continue. What mom is trying to say is that we can't depend on Shindou-san anymore."
