Your P.O.V:

The loud explosion came from the old mines outside of the town. Jefferson wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to himself.

"What was that?" I asked.

"I don't know." He replied. "I think a bomb or something like that, must have gone off." My phone started to ring Mom's ringtone.

"Mom, are you okay?" I asked her. I didn't even bother to say hello.

"Yes, I'm fine sweetie." She replied. "Where are you?"

"I'm at the dock and I'm fine," I replied. "What happened?" I looked in the direction of the explosion.

"Henry and Dr. Hopper went into the mines. The mayor thought that setting off a bomb could somehow help, instead Henry and Dr. Hopper are in more danger than before." Mom explained. I bit my lip.

"Where are you?" I asked her. I looked at Jefferson, who was using the public binoculars.

"I'm on my way to the mines." She replied. "I will see you there." I hung up.

"C'mon Jefferson," I said, "we need to get going." I grabbed his hand but he stopped me.

"Hey, Y/n, we can go to the mines. It could be dangerous!" He said. I bit my lip.

"Yeah I know, but Henry and Dr.Hopper are trapped down there." I replied. "We need to help them out." Jefferson sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Alright, alright. We can go to the mines.' I smiled.

"Thank you Jefferson." I stood up on my toes and placed a kiss on his cheek. Something inside of me had clicked. I couldn't tell what it was, but something clicked.

"C'mon, we have to hurry." Jefferson said. He grabbed my hand and we both ran off in the direction of the mines. The entire town was there when we arrived! I found my mom biting her nails.

"Mom, what did I miss?" I asked.

"Regina just sent in Emma to go rescue Henry and Dr. Hopper." She explained. "I'm really scared that something bad will happen." I hugged her. "No worries Mom," I said, "Emma will get them both out alive."

Jefferson's P.O.V:

Y/n went off to find her mother. I decided not to intervene or talk to her just yet. I didn't want to blow my cover or reveal who I am just yet. I ran into the woods, thinking about the apology I was going to tell Y/n.

I followed the trail back to my house and I went inside. I gave a sigh of relief as I laid down on my bed. I looked up at the ceiling. My phone began to ring and I picked it up.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hi Jefferson." I smiled at the sound of Y/n's voice.

"Hey, what's going on?" I asked. "Also, I'm sorry for leaving you alone. I was nervous about meeting your mom." I said. Y/n chuckled over the phone.

"That's okay," she replied. "I forgive you." I smiled.

"Thanks," I said.

"So I'm going to tell you what happened today in the mines." Y/n said. "Emma was able to rescue Henry and Dr. Hopper. Nobody was injured, luckily."

"What else did I miss out on?" I asked.

"I think you're caught up on everything," she responded. "Unless I'm forgetting something." I laughed.

"So," I said, "I was thinking if it'd be okay if I stayed at your place for a while. I'm getting lonely in my house."

"Sure," she replied. "I'm also getting lonely over here. What time am I picking you up?"

"Um, I'll be over there around 6," I replied. "No need for you to come pick me up."

"Ok, see you later!" She said. I could see her grinning, even though it wasn't possible.

"Goodbye," I said. Y/n hung up. I got up from my bed and packed my bags. I pulled out my brown jacket from the closet and the suitcase. I packed in my clothes and left the house.

Your P.O.V:

I was reading some old magazines on my bed. I bought them about two years ago. There was a knock on my door.

"Coming!" I called out. I got up from my bed and opened the door. Jefferson was standing there, smiling.

"Hi Y/n," he said.

"Hi Jefferson," I replied. "Welcome to my humble abode." I motioned to the inside. "Sorry about the mess. I was reading some old magazines."

"What were you reading?" He asked.

"The 'People' magazines from two years ago," I replied with a little smile.
