Your P.O.V:

As I left the police station, I heard the clock tower ring. I hadn't heard it before. When I was about 5 years old, the clock had been fixed.

Mom said it never worked until I arrived. It never rang until this morning.

"Hello Y/n!" Dr. Hopper was walking his Dalmatian, Pongo.

"Hello Dr. Hopper!" I replied. We talked for a while before parting.

I walked over to Granny's but I bumped into the same lady from the jail cell.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!" I said.

"It's no biggie." Emma said. She looked at me and recognized me.

"Hey, you're the girl who came by the sheriff's office." I smiled.

"Y/n Blanchard was it?" She asked. I nodded.

"That's me!" She smiled.

"So, what'cha doing here?" I asked.

"Oh, well. Um, Granny may have kicked me out 'cause I'm a, 'felon,' I guess." Emma explained.

"Ah, so do you have somewhere do go?" I asked.

"No, not exactly. I was thinking about camping in my car." She said.

I thought about her staying with my mom or with me, so I said,

"How about you stay with me or my mom? I'm sure she'll be happy to have you." I said, nervously.  Emma seemed to be taking this in before giving me her answer.

"Um, I think I'll be ok." She said. "I'll let you know if I change my mind." I nodded and she walked away.

I went into the diner where I was greeted by the smell of breakfast. And of course, I was also greeted by Jefferson.

As I walked in the diner, I saw Jefferson sitting at the counter. I smiled and went behind the counter.

"Hi." He said. Granny put a cup of tea in front of him.

"Hi." I replied. I noticed something about Jefferson. He had bags under his eyes.

"How are you doing?" I asked. Jefferson put down his cup.

"I'm doing very well." He lied. I knew he was lying because I kinda have that feeling people get deep down inside.

"Are you sure? I asked, also noticing that his fingers had cuts all around them.

"Yes. I'm doing fine." He said.  Granny handed me some plates and told me where to serve them.

"I'll be right back." I told Jefferson. He nodded and I went to go do my job. But when I came back, Jefferson was gone.

"Um, I'll be right back." I told Granny, and she nodded. I went outside to search for Jefferson but I couldn't find him.

"Looking for someone?" I turned around and saw Jefferson.
