Kaela's P.O.V
All I can see is flashes of light, then darkness, and the small sounds of people talking, they seem hurried. Can't they just leave me? It's not like I have much to live for, this boy or man, can help Evan, they seem to get along...
"Stop, stop, leave me, let me die." I felt shocked with myself, why was I thinking this way? I mean- I guess it was my opportunity, and it was a way to go that wouldn't have been my own fault. "Leave me, leave me. I don't want to wake up, I don't..."
"Are you ready?... CLEAR." I felt another shock. "I saw something, again!... CLEAR." Electricity ran through my body, and I felt myself being lifted into consciousness.
"No, no! What are you doing? Stop, please, no!!" I don't want to wake up, I don't!
"It's working!" Someone exclaims. "Are you ready, again!... CLEAR." And then there was another shock, and this time, light, bright light. I was in a white room, obviously the hospital. My vision was blurry, but I could make out the face of Evan above me.
"Evan..." I say quietly, half smiling.
"Oh, Kaela! Thank god, you're alive! I thought- we thought you were gone!" Evan starts crying. "It would've been the end of me, if you'd left."
"I wouldn't leave you, not even if I wanted too." I smile, weakly.
"I'm glad, I'm so happy that you're alive..."
"I'm happy about it too." What she doesn't know, can't hurt her, I guess...
Evan's P.O.V
I was beginning to panic. I felt the air becoming harder to breathe. 'Relax... it's just chemicals' I thought to myself but it didn't work. Frank sensed my tension and pulled me into a hug. He comforted me until he knew I was calm.
I faced my best friend who was being shocked back to life. I felt the tears come streaming down my face as I walked toward her. I could see her eyes slowly open.
'Evan..." She whispered. I engulfed her into a big hug as I cried on her shoulder, "Oh, Kaela! Thank god, you're alive! I thought- we thought you were gone!" I could feel more tears falling down my face. "It would've been the end of me, if you'd left."
After a lot of hugging and crying I heard Frank awkwardly cough. "Who's there, Evan?" Kaela asked me. I stepped out of the way so she could see the small figure that as been with her since the start. She just lay there staring at him with her mouth open and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Frank, this is Kaela." I say smiling.
"It's great to finally meet you." He smiled adorably. She nodded in reply, too shocked to speak. I nudged her side to get her out of her shocked state.
"Oh.... yeah, it's great to meet you too!" She said a little bit louder than she should have.
"Calm down Kaela koala." I giggled.
"You have a pot laugh too! Finally I can tell Gerard that I'm not the only one!" Frank said happily. This caused us all to laugh.
"I'm going to get a coffee, anyone else want one?" They both put up their hands like little children. I laughed quietly and exited the room.
Finally, everything looked like it was going to be okay.
