Makaela's P.O.V

Today is Monday, which means support group. I hate it. It does nothing to help me and does definitely not make me feel supported. I think Evan is driving us there, I'm not feeling too good today, so I'm not prepared to drive. I feel like I'd end up killing us both!

I completely lost the subject about support group, basically, it is in the back room of the church. Me, Evan and a bunch of other cancer patients sit in a circle with a guy who is supposedly there to help us through it. That isnt the case, he just makes it worse. He makes us talk about problems that we've come to face within the 3 days between the two support group sessions, which usually leads to people crying and feeling worse about it.

Anyway, enough about him. I think Evan is almost ready, which is a good thing. Then we can get there quicker and LEAVE there quicker.

"Evan, you ready yet?" I call through the house.

"Yeah, go get in the car!" She calls back. "I'll be right there, just fixing my hair!" AGAIN..

I walk out to the car, and just to my luck... my old school bullies are stood there. "Oh, look who we have here. Its the loser Kaela. I missed you, hun." She says sarcastically.

"EVAN. GET OUT HERE NOW!" I yell.

"Just a minute!" She calls back.

"NO! I NEED YOUR HELP. NOW!!!" I shout.

Evangeline's P.O.V

"NO! I NEED YOUR HELP. NOW!" I heard Kaela shout. I ran out of the apartment and onto the street where Kaela's school bullies were crowded around her, throwing rocks and calling her names.

"Whore. Slut. Faggot." I heard the bitches say.

"Stop it!" I shout. They all turn to me and laugh. Julie looked me up and down before putting her face in mine.

"Listen here, you don't tell us what to do, you're just like her. Why should we like any of you, you're all diseased with cancer!" She spat. Before she could turn away I punched her in the nose and I'm pretty sure that I heard a crack.

"Leave!" I yelled and they all scurried away like vermin.

"Evan! Oh my god, thank you so much! I thought they were going to kill me!" Kaela said hugging me. I took her back into the apartment and cleaned her up quickly so we wouldn't be late for the support group.

We drove to the church in silence, dreading the thought of it. We arrived there too soon for our liking. "Oh, good. You're here, we were nearly going to start without you." Matt smiled. We took a seat and introduced ourselves like we do every session. We had to state our name, age, our type of cancer and how we were doing. Soon, it was my turn.

"Evangeline Winters. Sixteen. Stomach cancer. And I'm doing fine today." I said, bored.

"Hello Evangeline." Everyone said. A girl called Josie began to tell us her story and how she got her cancer. I zoned out for all of it until she said three words that caught my attention "... In the end..." I immediately got 'In The End' by Black Veil Brides in my head and I'm pretty sure that Kaela did too.

"Okay guys, same time on Sunday, remember. And if you pray to God, he will help you." Matt smiled, that boy smiles too much. Well, I say boy but he's actually thirty three and I'm pretty sure that he's a pedophile.

"Kaela Koala?" I asked Makaela.

"Yes Evan?" She said while getting into the car.

"Can we go to Starbucks?"

"Of course!" She squealed. We drove to Starbucks singing 'Na Na Na' by My Chemical Romance.
