"J.K.'s gonna kill us," Tae laughed once the shock of being abducted wore off.

"We'll deal with that later," Yoongi shrugged. "The important part was making sure you were out of the way."

"Can I eat the ice cream?" Tae asked, holding up the container. J-Hope rolled his eyes and nodded.

-----

"Tae's safe," Joon told Jin. The older broke down and sobbed on Joon's shoulder. Jimin watched his hyung sob in relief from his hospital bed.

"I'm so sorry," Jimin whispered.

"For?" Joon asked.

"All of this," Jimin stared at his hands. "If I hadn't been such a whiney little bitch about things-"

"Stop," Joon barked at the younger. "It wasn't your fault. We assumed shit, and rather than face the pain of rejection; we shut you out. We were selfish. If anyone is to blame, it's me." Joon hung his head in shame.

"Jimin, my boy!" Bang P.D. burst into the hospital room smiling from ear to ear. "How are you feeling?"

"Uh, well, I'm just a little sore," Jimin shrugged.

"Good, that will go away in a few days," Bang P.D. clapped his hands together and took a deep breath. "I have some good news. The police have eyes on Ji-hoon. This all should be over soon. Tae, J-Hope, and Suga are on their way here and should arrive-"

"CHIM!" Tae screamed as he barreled through the door.

"Shortly," Bang P.D. finished with a chuckle. J-Hope and Suga came in moments later and hugged Jimin as well.

-----

"Call the cops! That's what we have to do," J.K. panicked. He pulled the phone from his pocket. Ji-hoon knocked it out of his hands before J.K. could dial. "What the fuck, Ji-hoon?"

"We can't call the cops!" Ji-hoon's face was pale.

"Why not?" J.K. demanded.

"We just can't!" Ji-hoon screamed. "Now be a good boy and come with me!" Ji-hoon grabbed J.K. by the wrist and jerked him along behind him.

"No!" J.K. struggled against Ji-hoon. "Let me go!"

"Don't be a brat," Ji-hoon growled. "We gotta go!"

"Not without Tae!" Help! Help!" J.K. screamed.

"Let him go!" Officer Jung yelled, pulling his gun and aiming at Ji-hoon. J.K. tried to pull free, but Ji-hoon yanked him back. Before J.K. could react, Ji-hoon pulled a knife from a sheath on his belt and had it pressed to his neck.

"Put the gun down," Ji-hoon screamed. "I will slit his throat! Don't think I won't!" J.K. gripped Ji-hoon's hand, trying to pull the knife away from his neck.

"Don't do this, hyung, please. I want to get Tae back!"

"Yang put the knife down!" Officer Jung called out. "We will go easier on you if you do."

"Hell no! If you take me down, I'm taking the Golden Maknae down with me!" The tip of the knife dug into the skin of J.K.'s neck, drawing blood. The maknae gritted his teeth, determined not to scream. Joon would want him to be brave.

-----

"Have you heard anything?" Jin asked Joon.

"Not yet," Joon checked his phone. "And it's bothering me." he stood abruptly and left the room.

"You don't think something went wrong, do you?" Jin asked the others.

"Don't think negatively," J-Hope shook his head.

-----

Kim Namjoon ran out of the hospital and looked for Bang P.D.'s car.

"Fuck it," he pulled his phone out and called one of the company drivers. "Pick me up four blocks south of the hospital. I'm walking." He ended the call and started to put the phone back in his pocket when it dinged.

Unknown: Mr. Kim, there is a situation at the ice cream shop. Please come ASAP. Officer Lee.

Joon's blood ran cold. If anything happened to Kook, it would be his fault. But that was nothing new lately. It had all been his fault. First, he'd fucked up Jimin's life by advising the others to leave him alone because he might not feel the same way about them as they felt about him. Now he'd sacrificed Kook for what? Damn it!" Jimin was important, but so was Jungkook! A guttural scream escaped his mouth, and he fell to his knees. Joon felt as if his heart was being ripped from his chest.

"Namjoon-ssi?" a man approached the devastated leader. "You wanted a driver?" Joon looked up, and a sudden calm came over him.

"Take me to the ice cream shop near the Bangtan House.  Hurry," Joon ordered, then scrambled into the backseat and slammed the door shut.

-----

"Mr. Yang put the knife down!" Officer Lee shouted again.

"Getting louder won't work!" Ji-hoon snarled and tightened his grip on J.K.'s waist.

"Ji-hoon!" Namjoon's voice boomed.

"Namjoon-ssi, how are you doing? It's been a while," Ji-hoon chuckled.

"Fuck you and your small talk. Let J.K. go," Namjoon snarled.

"Why would I do that?" Ji-hoon sneered. "He's such a pretty toy." Ji-hoon's tongue shot out and ran along J.K.'s jaw. J.K. grimaced in disgust, and Namjoon saw red. Before anyone could stop him, Namjoon charged at Ji-hoon like a wounded bull. The action caught Ji-hoon off guard, and he was unable to follow through with his threat to kill J.K.

Namjoon knocked J.K. to the side, and he took Ji-hoon down to the ground. As they fell, Ji-hoon brought the knife up between their falling bodies. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as J.K. watched the two bodies hit the ground. Both men groaned, and Namjoon's eyes grew wide.

"Namjoon!" J.K. screamed. He tried to run toward his boyfriend, but Jung and Lee held him back. "Let me go! I need to see him! I need to know he's okay!" J.K. struggled and screamed. Tears ran down his face, and he fell limp, supported by the two officers. Sirens filled the air, and two ambulances pulled up to the scene. The two men were separated and quickly loaded into the vehicles. Patrol cars pulled up, and chaos ensued.

"...no, he's dead. I just got word from..." J.K. heard only a small portion of the conversation, but what he heard made his blood run cold. What if the he they were referring to was... no, he couldn't allow himself to think that way. But his heart wouldn't listen to his head, and the distress was so much that he did the only thing his body would allow him to do; he fainted.
