I laid across Nestor's chest in blissful ignorance of the world around us until one beep from his phone had him drop the strands of my hair he was twirling in his fingers. He stretched across the bed to the floor where his jeans had been dropped and his belt clanked against my wooden flooring as he tried to pull the device out. The bright light of the screen blinded me as the early evening shadows darkened my room and I rolled away to give him some privacy as he cursed quietly.

"I have to go." He said as he pushed the blankets back and started to pull his clothes on.

"Well, you know where to find me." I said pulling the blankets around me like a cocoon. "One day you will actually tell me how you found me too."

"Nah, it's more entertaining to keep you guessing." He chuckled as he pulled his jacket on lastly. "I'll call you."

"You don't have my number." I mumbled popping my head out of the cocoon to answer him.

"I got it from your patient chart at the hospital."

"That should probably raise some red flags." I said quirking an eyebrow at the admission and figured he also got my address from it too.

"Probably." He said shrugging as he strapped his watch back on.

"I'm good at ignoring warning signs."

"That's not a great thing for a nurse." He laughed as he knelt back on the bed and pulling the blankets down so I was flooded with cold air. "I had fun."

"I know." I said as he waited expectantly. "Best 30 seconds of my life."

He cracked a smirk as his phone beeped again and he rolled his eyes, burying me beneath the blankets as I laughed at him. "I'd give you another 30 seconds but work calls."

"Hurry there's an emergency at the whole foods store. Someone asked for a plastic bag!" I cried dramatically from under my duvet.

"Shut up Reyes." He growled playfully from somewhere in the house a moment before the front door closed.

I lay there laughing until I heard my car start and jumped out of the bed and raced to the window to see my car heading off down the street. I grabbed my phone only to realise that he may have my number but I didn't have his. On the bright side I knew he had to return it to me so maybe we could go another round because that man was built for sex. Maybe it was the man-drought I had been in or what he could do with that tongue but I wanted more.

Although it was getting late I was starving and my plans for the day. including grocery shopping, had been ruined by Nestor's coffee. Deciding to deal with my father in exchange for his food I freshened up before walking the few blocks over to his house. I wasn't even sure he was home since it was all dark but using the spare key I found him in the dark watching an old baseball game rerun, halfway through a six pack.

"Hey old man." I said dropping onto the couch and taking one of his beers.

"Did you see Ez before he left?" Pops asked.

"Oh you know, I've been good. Got a bruise from where the epipen was stabbed into me and my heartrates a little over the place from the adrenaline but I'm doing well given my near death experience." I said taking a long drink from the luke warm beer. "Thanks for asking."

"Gabriella left some food in the fridge." He said ignoring me. "She's a good girl for him."

"For him or for you? You know none of us are going to wipe your arse when you get decrepit." I snorted. "You should be polishing mom's ring up for him. Lock that down before she realises how fucked up this place is and runs."
