(EXE.P.O.V.)
I freeze. Did I just hear what I thought I heard? "What if... I became your prisoner instead?" Those words didn't even register. "No, (Y/N), don't! I'm already done for, you still have life to live! Don't throw it away! It's already too late for me..." I ignore the fox's begging. You should be thanking my goddess for being so merciful to you. Ungrateful. "You would take his place? You don't even know who he is." "He's Miles, someone I considered my best friend. Maybe a little more than that..." A little pang of jealousy hits me. "Fine" I snap my fingers and the two trade places. Now she's the one in the cage and he's the one who stands before me. "Next time you lose you won't be so lucky." He vanishes from the room with the snap of my fingers. His new vessel is going to have quite a time in the real world. I wonder if he'll get captured and dissected. I won't tell (Y/N) about any of that though. His real body is gone. Her trading places with him only made things harder on him. Oh, well. Not my problem. I hear her sob from within the cage. "He's not dead. I've returned him back to the real world. I'll take you to our room." I unlock the cage. She seems surprised that I'd offer her a room instead of leaving her in the dungeon. She hasn't done anything to cross me besides delete my number from her phone. And that wasn't even her fault. So she's done nothing deserving such a cruel cage. She stands there hesitant to cross the cage door. I try to offer my hand but she flinches. I forgot my fingers were still coated in his blood. "I'm certain you don't want to remain down here. You haven't done anything deserving of this place. I have a nice room all set up for you. All you have to do is follow me there."

I follow in silence hoping that Miles will be okay. I didn't even get to say goodbye. I didn't get to say goodbye when he disappeared the last time too. I keep thinking about all the people that I'm leaving behind by doing this. All the people I can't say goodbye to. The otherworldly Sonic stops causing me to bump into him. "I know it'll be a lot to get used to but I have some ground rules. One, never leave this room unless I come to get you. Two, don't listen to anyone else here. There are others who would be happy to either steal your body or devour your soul so just don't open the door or listen to anyone but me. I'll bring you anything you want but just don't break those two rules. It's for your safety." He ushers me into the room and shuts the door. Hear the sound of it locking and I just flop onto the large bed in the middle of the room. Just what have I gotten myself into?
