Chapter 6: The Departure

3rd day (The Chosen Ones)

(Y/N)'s POV
I continued walking into the center till I saw a crowd gathering. I saw Xander and quickly wave to him and he waved back. "(Y/N)!! Are you feeling better?" He asked concerned. "As a matter of fact, yes I'm feeling much better" I replied. I then heard some whispers coming from Nora and Susan.

"Oh look, the little slut has come to wave goodbye to the prince" susan said. "Yeah, he'll never pick you as a maid, he'll pick me" nora proudly said. "What's so good about getting ordered around?" I asked. "Tch! You better watch your mouth you slut!" Nora said. "Yeah, let's go somewhere else before her sluttiness spread to us. They then walked away with their heads high while laughing cruelly. I look at Xander and said "Thank you for sticking with me Xander. I don't know what I'd do if I lose you too.." I said sadly. "I'm always here to help you" he said and hugged me gently but firmly. I hugged back and turn my attention to the royal family.

"We shall now begin to choose some maids and servants to serve us back at the castle of Averylton" King Marcus said. "I choose Belle, Avery and Gaston" Queen Isabelle announced. "Hmm...I'll pick Derrick, Chloe and Eric" Princess Valerie said. "Well then, I shall pick (Y/N) and Xander. I was shocked that me and Xander are chosen as servants. Why us? I don't want to leave the village. Then again, nora and susan will continue to bully me if I stayed here. After they gathered the chosen ones at a place, the king said something. "You can pack your clothes and daily needs in a suitcase and bring them here. Our assistants shall help you to put them in the storing carriage" he says and we quickly went home to pick out some clothes, toiletries, and etc. After packing everything, I went to the living room to write a note to my dad.

Dear Dad,

I won't be coming home for...i don't know..a long time I guess because I was chosen to serve the royal family of Averylton. I'm sorry and goodbye.

After writing the note, I sticked it on the table and went out before locking the front door. "Oh look! Little slut is leaving...how sad" Susan fake sobbed. "Grr...i should've been the one to serve Prince Alaric not you stupid idiotic slut!" She yelled and slapped me. Susan then took my suitcase and threw it onto the ground nearly damaging it. Prince Alaric then came and asked what was going on.

"Why did you peasants threw her suitcase and slapped her?" He asked menacingly. "Y-your highness! I-i, we're just messing around with her! B-by the way, y-your hair is looking lovely today!" Nora said a bit fearfully. "Go back to your houses you lonely pests!" He said. "Y-yes your highness!" Susan said and ran away with Nora. "Are you alright? Do you need help with the suitcase?" He asked. "N-no everything is alright your highness" I replied. He didnt care and took my suitcase and walked towards the storing carriage. "T-thank you for the help your highness" I thanked. "Its nothing and by the way, you're sitting in my carriage. My sister's carriage is already full with two bodyguards and her new boyfriends" he said and I could see her cringed a little at the last part. "O-oh what about Xander?" He'll sit with the other servants. Now come on. We shan't be late" he said and pulled me to the carriage. It was a beautiful carriage made of real gold.

His butler then opened the door and let us in. 'Wow, royalty must feel nice' i wondered. "Are you comfortable?" He asked. "Y-yes of course your highness" i said. The horses then started walking. I saw the passing scenery of the village of opal. We then finally reached the gates and two guards opened them. The horses continued walking and we left Village of Opal. Along the way, I started to feel a little sleepy and accidentally drifted off in front of the prince.

Prince Alaric's POV
'She's so adorable when she's asleep. The sun is perfectly shining her and thus enhancing her beauty. Oh that soft (h/c) hair, that flawless skin and that cute pink plump lips. Oh how I have to resist from kissing her. It will be so soft' i thought while getting even more lost in her beauty. I then slowly pushed her head to my shoulders and let her laid on there. I smiled and started playing her hair gently to not wake her. After playing for some time, I slowly drifted off to sleep as well.

(Y/N)'s POV
I started to have nightmares again and immediately opened my eyes. I felt something on my and looked up. Ah!! The prince is laying his head on top of me!! If nora saw this, she'll definitely torture me with the help of Susan. Prince Alaric has not woken up and we have yet to arrive so I comtinued to sleep.

2 hours later~

The prince started to woke up and woke me as well. "Hmm? What's happening?" I asked while yawning sleepily. "Heh, good morning Sleepyheads, did you sleep well?" He asked. "H-huh? Oh yes I slept well.." I kinda lied a little. "Good. And by the way we have arrived" he said. The carriage then suddenly stopped and the carriage doors were suddenly flung open. We the got out of the carriage and I immediately took a deep breath of fresh air. I looked in front and it was the largest castle I've ever seen."Wow!!!this castle is huge!!!" I said excitedly. "Oh I'm glad you already like it" Prince Alaric smiled. Then I looked to the left side and there was a beautiful garden and there's also a fish pond on the right side.

The king and queen stepped out of their carriages and started walking towards the huge entrance door. Princess Valerie too started walking there. Prince Alaric then smiled at me and said "Welcome to the kingdom of Averylton, (Y/N). I do hope that you'll enjoy living here from now on" . "o-oh thank you your highness" I replied and he led me into the castle.
