Chapter 22: The Parasite

(Y/N)'s POV
As we walk there together, the stench started getting stronger and I covered my nose instantly. We found a lot of maids crowding around something. I peeked over and saw the dead body of a maid. Everyone started whispering stuff like "who killed her?', 'what happened?'. Prince Alaric and I looked at each other and decided to report the scene to Princess Giselle. We hurriedly went to her room and heard moaning again.

Prince Alaric sighed and said "(Y/N), please wait out here. Be careful too" he said "I will be alright, Master. You can go now" i said politely. He smiled and went inside her room. I stood around for a few minutes looking out the windows when suddenly the door opened and out came a man with a flushed face running away. 'I wondered what happened' i thought innocently.

Prince Alaric's POV
After telling (Y/N) to be careful, I found Princess Giselle having s*x with another guy again. "Your highness?" I asked and both of them looked at me fearfully as i have caught them in the act. Back to (Y/N)'s POV
I heard the door slam and turned around. Prince Alaric looked so angry so i tries to calm him down. "(Y/N), let's leave this place now. Danger is lurking everywhere" Prince Alaric said and I nodded quickly not wanting to disobey his orders. We walked away and saw a few servants has been murdered. "The murder is increasing!" I shouted and held Prince Alaric's hands tightly. "I'll protect you (Y/N)" he said and we started to run.

Suddenly, we heard a cry of agony. We looked behind and a maid was stabbed. The mysterious person that stabbed her was wearing a hoodie so we couldn't see their face. Then, some worms started coming out of her eyeballs and mouth as she screamed loudly before collapsing onto the floor. The other dead servannts also had worms coming out of their body. I was so shocked I froze on the spot.

"(Y/N)!!!" Prince Alaric shouted and shooked me violently. I didn't respond so he carried me and ran to the main entrance door. I started feeling dizzy and fainted on the spot.

Prince Alaric's POV
I carried (Y/N) to the main entrance door aftee she froze. As i was running towards the carriage, (Y/N) fainted and i looked at her worriedly. I instructed my butlers to immediately depart and they all obeyed. We started to depart from Kingdom of Arthora. 'I hope (Y/N)'s alright...' I thought worriedly and hugged her. As i looked back, i saw Princess Giselle who was now in a terrible condition chasing the carriage. She had worms comimg out of her chest and mouth. I decided to look back at my beautiful (Y/N) for comfort. I kissed her lips and looked at her lovingly. After that, I looked out of the windows.

Timeskip~
(Y/N)'s POV
I started to wake up and saw Prince Alaric looking out of the windows. "W-what happened?" I asked and he sighed. "After you fainted, i quickly carried you to the carriage and departed from kingdom of Arthora. Its too dangerous there" he said and hugged me tightly. I quickly hugged back and inhaled his scent. 'He smells so nice..' I thought happily. After staying in that position for a while, we started talking.

"We're heading to the kingdom of Gwimark now" he said and I answered "oh I know that kingdom. Its known for its beauty and wealth". "Yes it is" he smiled. "Guess the only Princess left is Princess Evangel...she'll be your wife right?" I asked and he looked away. "Maybe....definitely not" he whispered the last part so silently till I couldn't even hear him.

Timeskip to arrival~
Suddenly, a beautiful place came into view and I looked out excitingly. The breeze was strongly blowing my hair while the flowers were dancing happily with the wind. "Its so beautiful!" I exclaimed and smiled happily. The townspeople were all busy buying groceries while some kids were playing together with smiling faces. When we arrived at the castle, it was more gorgeus and bigger than Kingdom of Irshocgard and Arthora's castles.

The palace was located near an icy mountain and we could only get there by narrow bridges. The carriage stopped moving once we arrived at the bridge. We got out and started looking around. "Let's go kitten" Prince Alaric said as he held my tightly. Thankfully, the bridge was quite sturdy. If it was not, we could've fallen to our death.

As we walked across the bridge, i started shivering as it was cold as the North Pole. "Are you cold?" Prince Alaric asked amd i nodded. He smiled amd wrapped a jacket around me. "There, that'll warm you up in the meantime" he said and I thanked him gratefully. After crossing the wooden bridge, a stone bridge came into view and I crossed it more confidently while still holding Prince Alaric's hand.
